Yes. You'll find the first 5 Gardner books have Fleming or Richard Chopping-like cover art.Dave (01 Oct, 2001 09:31 p.m.):
It being Gardner's first, is that the reason why he had the cover art like Fleming's? He may not have, but the designers in that case? Does anyone know?

zencat (01 Oct, 2001 09:23 p.m.):
SCORPIUS isn't one my favorite Gardner books by a long shot. LICENSE RENEWED, on the other hand, is pretty good and as it was th first Gardner book a good place to start, I'd say.
I don't remeber Scorpius, I'm not sure if I've even read it yet. I just know I thought it sounded like a good name for a villain and used it for my e-mail address.
If I have read it then it must not have been too memorable.

I've got the same copy. I picked it up at a Car Boot sale for 50p - what a bargain!

I think I've spotted a Scorpious one too, for about the same price.

Here's the UK jacket.Dave (01 Oct, 2001 07:41 a.m.):
No problem. Can you get picture of the Scorpius hard cover jacket?
If anyone ever needs to see what a certian jacket looks like email me. I have them all scanned into my computer (but please don't ask me for all of them).
