I was amazed to finaly find out what type of gun Connery posed with when that Bond auction was advertised and told about the story on how they ended up useing the limo drivers Walther air pistol he just happened to have with him.
I have never been able to find out how to get one or even seen any info about those pistols from the sixties. Anyone know any thing about them?

The LP53 (as the model number indicates, was a 50s not 60s model) is a nice piece of kit, although mine is slightly damaged. For info try looking on a Walther site, it's been a long time since I looked, but I am sure that they also show their older items - they are usually found in books on Walthers too. As a collectors piece, you will rarely see them up for sale (at least at affordable prices) since the sale of the one that Connery used, advertisers use the Bond connection to bump up the price.

Well I have a Walther Air Soft pistol with the Walther markings on it. And I also have the Walther Air Soft pistol that also has Walther Markings on it.
I got them at an Air soft store. $20 each.

I own the PPK/s air pistol. It's a dead ringer for the real thing. You can field strip it by pulling down on the trigger guard and pulling the slide back. You can then remove the spring and all the other componets. You can also purchase additional magazines for faster shooting. It's fairly accurate as long as you take your time aiming and fire off your BBs slowly. I believe it also won an award from the NRA for teaching the basics of an automatic pistol.
