Hi there,

To those interested there is a repro "Licence Revoked" poster for sale on Ebay.
Just type "Licence Revoked" in the search box.

It's the orange "Dirty Harry" style poster by Bob Peak. Personally i love it and wished that it had been kept for the marketing campaign, thus giving it a much needed boost.

Does anyone have any of the "Licence Revoked" one sheets that were never used? Do they still exist? Ever seen one for sale? Particularly the ones of Dalton with Lupe and Pam set on what looks like a tropical beach. In one Dalton is smiling and in the other he is serious.

Here's the link for those who are interested.

Anyone know how many of these were produced?

I wouldn't really call 11x17 a poster. More like a glorified lobby card.

And you can tell by the dots on the scan that whoever made it didn't even bother to descreen when they scanned it from the Bond poster book.

To answer the other question - these did not get to theatres - but I know someone who has a real one - he got it from the United Artists offices in NY.

I have an original sketch of the other Bob Peak style - with the gun held up beside Bond's head.

Man.. you guys got my hopes up on this one...

I might even have bid on it, although I hate to have any repros in my collection, but it's not even a regular sized poster.

Shame on you!

Yes, what doublenoughtspy said. This is just a repro from a book (and it appears on ebay often). Still a cool image, but know what you're buying and DO NOT pay too much.

I always loved that concept. Bob Peak's "The Spy Who Loved Me" perfectly fit with the film's tone. The photo of Dalton with loosened bowtie holding the Walther PPK is pretty good in its own way. It was the release campaigns that were dreadful. I would have to say the worst of the series.

I love this poster too. I could easily do my own reprint from the Bond Poster book though, I wouldn't pay $23+ for one.

Looks like this one got about $32. Nice looking concept, even if a repro.

That's why I think you have to be very careful with posters on eBay.

Anyone know where to find that promo (poster?) with Dalton and girls on the beach that has the words "what do you know about James Bond"?

Do you have a picture of it you can post? Or a link?

Sounds very interesting.

Any more rare/obscure Dalton Bond posters out there?

The teaser poster with the white shirt was pretty good. My copy has the American spelling on it, and I recall that being the one in theatres. But as for the rest of the campaign, I agree it was the series' worst (I do loath the DAD posters as well).

Probably. Although the US-1 Sheet for Die Another Day is no improvement either.

Almost anything is better than the DAD stuff. It's just...DAD related, really. That's the problem :)
