I believe it was once said to be released for PS2, but never was in the end. (Long before the game came out.)
Actually, the game code was altered (whilst retaining the engine) and became Agent Under Fire. This is because the game would have been released in 2001 - two years after the film and EA decided it would date too much.

It was also going to be released fort he pc. I was hoping it would be releasd for PS2. No matter the year they should've carried on with it. TWINE for the PS1 looked crap thats why I didn't get it. It would be like TnD but in first person.
The World Is Not Enough on the PS1 never seems to be spoken about compared to the others. How does (for those who have it) like/dislike it?

The PS1 version was never a favorite of mine...mostly because I don't believe it had multiplayer and the N64 version controlled better, at least in my eyes.

Really would've been nice to see it on PS2 or Xbox. The N64 version was pretty fun to play.
In the words of Valentine Zukovsky, "where did you find this?" and don't tell me off a parahawk which tried to kill Elektra King

The voice overs were awesome as well.
hahah!
No emotion whatsoever. One stand out is Valentin's line:
"Bring it, to me." - no emotion at all. His damn relative was killed, man!
And who can forget the opening bank level and Bond's droll voiceover?
"I'm here to see Lachez. The name's Bun..Jam..Bun...."
he can't even say Bond's name right, damn him. Sounds droll and muffled.

Is the PS1 version different from the N64???
Gamespot at least seems to find some differences between the two versions (they seem to favor the N64 version):

TANGER WROTE: They are both completely different games. In the same way that the console version of Nightfire and the PC version are completely different.
Thanks for the info guys, I own the PS version (not my fave game, but it is fun), I'll look for the N64 version in Ebay.
Happy New Year.

I was looking through the computers at work for a game I knew didn't exist (long story) and came across an entry for the PS2 version. We have it listed as 'discontinued', but if you found a new copy, it'd be $19.99. If it was never produced...why do we have an SKU for it and everything? The mystery deepens!

Anyways, I think that it's the same thing PS1 and PS2 as long as you have a memory card and a system.
