Methinks I detect the foul smell of American chauvinism in the designation of various Bond films as "hits" or "flops." Ever notice that these designations are only applied if they were less than successful in North America? Notice as well that some Bonds that did bang-up business in the States (Octopussy is one example) came up under-par in the world market. Interesting -- funny enough, too, that some of the films that seem to be most aimed at American audiences (AVTAK, LTK) do not do as well in the U.S. as expected.

The U.S. is like a woman -- kiss her :) too much and you'll only gain her contempt :) .

Well I for one don't think McMahon will go over too well as Bond here. He's too much of a pretty boy -- with a huge forehead. If it had been Owen, I think the series would have soared.

For those who have not yet noticed, CBN_Rules has been "discharged" from the CBn forums.

Just saw a small note about McMahon on TV. Nothing Bond though.

Yes, I noticed that (to great relief) earlier today. I think it's generally in quite poor taste to celebrate people being given the boot, but in this case, I think I'll allow myself the sin of a mild "huzzah!". Thanks to the staff for upholding CBn's standards.

Dammit! I was hoping he'd at least work up the ability to strongly argue his point. Much like the work of BondPurist whom I still admire for his blind devotion to Timothy Dalton who IS James Bond! :)
