Dougary Scott has a vicious side to him sometimes, anyone seen Ripley's Game? He plays someone who's dying, and is pushed into killing someone for money, when he killed, it felt like Dalton's killing for some season, realistic in the world agent who happens to be Bond. Put him in a expensive suit, he'll have this confidence that gives off Bond, he's a strong choice still I believe. He might be Scottish, but he's more Dalton then Connery I think, with a touch of Brosnan's style.

He seems a bit short for Bond.

Ripley's game wasn't a very good film (especially compared to the first one) but Scott has done another film where he played an assasin called " The Poet", which is a little " Bond-esque"

Let me first say I think Dougray Scott is a good actor and has many qualities that are right for playing James Bond. Two things prevent me for thinking he will be seriously considered however and it's a bit of a shame because he's very likeable. First, he simply doesn't look very good in comparison to previous Bonds. Dalton was much more sophisticated and handsome looking than Scott which would effect the female following I would imagine. Plus I cannot see him swooning some incredible looking bombshell for some reason. Secondly, he played a villian in a rival spy series (MI2) and looked pretty down right evil. I know he's a good enough actor as many others are too but like Ewan McGregor, he simply lacks the Bondian look and feel to be very convincing. Just my take.
