First, I noticed Sideshow is putting "Sideshow Exclusive" stickers on the front of the boxes for the exclusive versions. They haven't upe until recently (at least not on the stuff I have received), and I'm glad they're doing something a little different to set them apart. I guess that's a little more justification for buying the exclusive version at full retail price.
The cover art looks nice, with the usual movie poster treatment. You would think they would try to find something that has a picture of Moore in the yellow suit, though, rather than the silver suit in the poster.
The gadgets seem rather minimal compared so some other figures. Without the exclusive 'x-ray cigarette case' all you have is the wrist dart gun and the laser gun. Not that I'm complaining, because they look good, but other figures come with a lot more accessories. They could have thrown in one of the hexagonal glass tubes frmo the factory scene or something to fill the box up a little better. The cigarette case turned out well, with a sticker for the x-ray part and eight tiny cigarettes (not just a sticker).
The Moore figure does seem to be the same head sculpt as the LALD figure, which I guess shouldn't really be a surprise. I'm sure resculpting that would bump up Sideshow's cost, and they are, after all, a business.
The outfit isn't quite as yellow as the film one, but it did turn out nicely. There are nice details such as the belt with pouches, and the patch on the outfit's chest even has all the wording correctly stitched on there. The boots even have some scuff marks on them that look like they were made that way to intentionally show wear (although they could have been dropped and stepped on prior to assembly, I suppose).
Overall I'd give the figrure an 8 out of 10. A little brighter yellow for the outfit and an extra gatget or two would probably make up those two points on my scale.

The head sculpt is new. Sideshow told us this at Comic Con. It does look a lot like the LALD sculpt, I agree, but compare the hair around the ears. LALD the hair comes over the ears. MR hair is above.

Lordie. The attention to detail is astounding on these figures.
Although alarming or disturbing may be better words in this case.

Got mine Friday. Overall, a good figure though the yellow of the outfit should be more yellow, less beige, and I agree with e.s.blofeld that there should've been a few more accessories. The pen he used to kill the python would be too small to include. Maybe one of those dummied-up uzis that were used by the NASA troops.

Hope they kept the dimensions because they ll need it for the Rocketbelt version(he says hopefully...

Time Tunnel models in Stevenage has several Moonraker Bonds on their shelves if anyones in the area and fancies one.I agree it does appear a little plain.

Reason the box was that much bigger on the "Thunderball" version was because of the diving rig,the most complex accessory Sideshow has offered to date.

I am familiar with Time tunnel models.
IMO I think the Thunderball figure has got the face of the early Gilbert ones.
Do you think. Because there is no way I can see any resemblence with the picture of the figure on the side of the box to the figure in the box. The face just seems different.
