I have to say that it's well worth visiting this excellent website and forum. The members are very clued up, and the tend to specıalıse in hard to find movies from all over the place.
I asked a question here, and my question was answered within a few hours.
MR SARDONICUS (1961) ended up being the movie I was enquiring about. I have attached the hideous face that I remember all those years ago.
