If there are Barnes & Noble and/or Borders stores near you, go to them, they very often have copies of almost all the US paperback Bensons.

If not, you can easily obtain it for under $5 I imagine on eBay or half.com.

Like Zen says for amazon, half.com often has Brand New copies, which is clearly noted by the seller.

Tahnks guys. I already knew about those features, I was just hoping to get a factory wrapped, or at least unpurchased, copy. But I'll settle for that if I really want to read it.

I purchased most of my Raymond Benson novels in hard cover from Half-Price books, along with finding Amis' Colonel Sun and Christopher Wood's James Bond, the Spy Who Loved Me and James Bond and Moonraker, and James Bond: The Legacy. If there is a store close by to you, I highly recommend that you take a look. Unfortunately, since they don't have a computerized inventory system, you may strike out the first couple of times you browse their shelves before you find the titles that you want.

Just keep trying, and I'm sure you will find them.

I, bizzarrely enough, found NDOD and Doubleshot for a dollar each at a local Save-A-Lot. So...if worse comes to worse, you could always rely on blind luck.

For some reason, Never Dream Of Dying is the only Benson I have not got yet.

I must say I love the title "Never Dream of Dying." It's poetic and bondian, it would make a awesome Bond film title.

I wanna read the book based on the title alone.

Definitely should try it out, but read High Time To Kill and Doubleshot first. :)

Interesting to note that "Never Dream of Dying" was the only original Raymond Benson title that wasn't changed by the publishers.

NDOD is up there with TMWTRT as having the two best titles of Benson but unfortunately it's also one of the worst - it just lumbers along at a slow pace and never really gets going like some of the others.

True, ZMT is guilty of a similar offense, but other books like DS, HTTK, TMWTRT still retain a Flemming-esque twang while having enough pace to keep the reader interested.

I wouldn't hesitate to say that NDOD is to the Benson books what TWINE is to the Benson movies, too much character not enough plot, both interestingly with a Tracey substitute.

In that case, NDOD is to TWINE what TMWTRT is to DAD: a bloody good romp with a few character shortcomings.
