Anyone heard of this show?

Top ten moments from Bond films - hosted by Sir Roger himself.

Going to be on the "action channel" in America.

It's one of the hundreds of channels available on digital cable.

Actually, that's Encore's action channel, one of several premium pay channels with certain themes like love, western, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have Encore or those channels these days. But I'm hoping it gets repeated on Starz, which is the sister channel to Encore.

The show itself is probably just some highlight clips show with nothing new. I'm curious what the choices will be, though.

I think my family just got this station with our new dish. If only we knew when it will be on...

I'm pretty sure this show has been on before. I seem to recall it being on when DAD was being released and there were loads of Bond type programs on to celebrate 40 years of 007.

Was it? I must have missed it then. I only remember two different Bond Girls specials which I taped and HGTV's ZipCode007.

Yeah, I think this just might come on digital cable. The "Best of Bond" was filmed in 2002, I think. Might catch it early in the morning on the Encore channel, where they showing the un-cut, commericial versions of 17 Bond films. They did a amazing job putting that marathon together. :)

I went home from work late Saturday night and was flipping through channels and lo and behold there was FYEO. Somehow I have Encore. I watched the end of it from the underwater action and then the beginning of OP. Sunday morning I caught the last half of LTK then sporadically parts of other films throughout the day (football playoffs were on, you know).

While I have these all uncut, looking clear and letterboxed on DVD, it was hard not to watch them on Encore although they were full screen. The prints looked really good and it was so nice not having a commercial interrupting every 7 minutes like on Spike or AMC.

There were some nice promos in between films and they even had some actors and actresses talking about their favorite Bonds and films. Although Angelina Jolie talks about the guy with the gold teeth, who turned out to be Jaws, not Mr. Gold from TWINE. Things were hosted by Roger, who again gives nice anecdotes about the cars and some of the women. The man is still the best ambassador the series has had.

And I was able to DVR the Bond highlight show this morning. I will try to check it out later and give a full report.

I saw the special this morning, and the top 10 countdown Bond moments actually had some surprises. Though the the #1 moment was the most obvious...and no, it wasn't the appearance of Sheriff JW Pepper.

This sounds like a great show. Roger surely must be great.

I'm not sure why the Bond DVDs didn't have some of these special as extras. Especially shows like 20 years of James Bond which doesn't have re-sale value - unlike Bond Girls are Forever. Which isn't as "frozen in time".

I saw this "Best of Bond" listing on the TiVo and I'm like "Damn, I don't subscribe to the Action Channel!" (there are so many dang channels a person could spend a fortune! Anywho... unfortunately I didn't get to see it and won't get to see it if it's not put on a normal channel, but I'm sure it would be quite cool to watch. :)

The disapointing this about this "Best of Bond" program is that Roger neither hosted it nor offers commentary in it at all. Guess he was busy when it was filmed.

yes, it's kinda strange when I clicked info on this program it did say Roger Moore was supposed to host...

A fine special nonetheless!

I just watched it and I was dissapointed that Roger Moore did not host it. :) It was still good though.

I watched it.

Wasn't hosted by Roger despite the fact that it was listed in the guide as well. Although, I did see a brief clip of Roger dressed in a tux in a casino. He flirted with the female dealer. I wonder if these clips were peppered throughout the show?

The film itself was a countdown of the 10 Best Bond moments - it included interviews from George Lazenby, John Cleese, Judi Dench, Pierce Bronsan.

Not ground breaking but I'm glad I watched it.

(PS I DONT THINK THIS THREAD SHOULD HAVE BEEN MOVED TO THE US FORUM- I THINK THE DOCUMENTARY IS OF GENERAL INTEREST - JUST LIKE THE BOND GIRLS ARE FOREVER FILM)

I watched it last Saturday morning. Nothing surprising at all about the results. Andrew Collins seems a little over-zealous with the films (if there is such a thing)and a little hyper in his segments.

I laugh until tears whenever David Arnold, or anyone else on these things start humming, do-do-ing or whistling the James Bond theme.

(Does Monty Norman get royalties when someone does that on screen? :) )
