I decided to make up this thread just incase there are any new Los Angeles-ites here on CBn who want to join in on our BONDing fun. On Friday, January 28th mattbowyer will be visiting LA with a friend and we're planning a BONDing night for him. This BONDing night will either take place at "Casa Bryce" or "Casa Zenthena" (ZenCat & Athena007).

If you would like to join in on the fun, or if you're already coming and want to show your support... just post here in this thread and we'll get all the info to you when it all comes together.

There's a possibility that this BONDing night might turn into our "007 Scene It?" Challenge (but that's not confirmed yet).

Well, gosh, folks, being a real live L.A. guy and all, I'd love to show up and meet you all finally, either at the Bonding night or at the showing of DAF on Feb. 5. But I'm working both nights. You can't tell, but I'm crying real tears. Kick back one for me. And keep me posted on future such events, perhaps even a special trip out to PS to party in the DAF house??

Awe, bummer Wade! We totally have to get you in on one of our nights. We'll probably have another BONDing night sometime in March (2nd or 3rd weekend) for our "007 Scene It?" Challenge. Hopefully you can make it then

Can't make those dates, but Lady Four Aces and I will be in Pasadena the evenings of 4-5 Feb. She flies back home on 6 Feb. I am back in L.A. on 12-13 Feb alone, and again on 15 Feb alone. Lodging is at the Westin Pasadena. I've started using the Burbank airport for my travel in/out of CA for my business trips. It beats having to sit on the 405 when driving up from LAX!

The Burbank Airport is defiantly better. Skip the craziness of the 405 and LAX... relax and cruse on over to BUR. There is the Diamonds Are Forever screening on the night of Feb 5th, but I'm guessing since you say you'll "be in Pasadena the evenings of 4-5 Feb" that the Lady and you have plans that evening[?].

On Fri evening we are catching a concert at the Doheny Mansion [bad part of L.A. where I was born/raised]. This is chamber type music, Vlach Quartet from Prague. See Doheny Mansion. Saturday during the day we will visit the Norton Simon museum. See Norton Simon. Not sure what we will do on Sat evening. Maybe dinner & comedy show, or dinner & dancing, or head on over to one of the card casinos.

Still trying to get a location fix on 004 (wanker has really been swamped since the holidays) but I'm sure if I go up on the roof and uncork a bottle of single-malt, he'll be landing in the rocket pack (yeah, it still works) within minutes.

We really need a CBn spotlight signal (like Batman) for the LA Crew. Maybe either a silhouette of a martini glass or the Union Jack with a CBn logo.

Anyway, Casa Bryce will be ready. Martini's, Girls, Guns - (Flicka's 95% but needs to check her schedule at the start of the week) - and the bar will be stocked (it rarely isn't around here) as well as a few party trays and there will also be some REAL food (Bryce will be cooking) so whenever you feel like eating - help yourself.

Athena - Please BE SURE to bring my CD's from Zencat's party. Gotta have all the Bond music available.

All the usual Bond props, guns and such will be at the ready for the inevitable drunken goofy pictures part of the evening. It's tradition you know.

Ask Joyce....No, Really.

I would like an idea of numbers so sound off here.

This would be a perfect excuse for Mrs. 009 and I to head on up and we'd love to go but unfortunately it's a big family weekend at the 009 lair. Parents, siblings, children...Birthdays, late Christmas get together, etc.

It will be a great evening I'm sure. I'll throw back a dry as the sahara Vox martini in homage to the event that evening.

Minor "getting off my rear and Bonding" update: I'll either be at Casa Bryce on the 28th or the DAF screening depending on how my energy is, work has been murder as of late (working an unplanned double shift can take the wind out of one's sails). I might be able to get some vacation time next week which would pretty much make the DAF screening a slam dunk. .
