In GE: Rogue Agent, the idea of having the player assume the role of a Bond villain is certainly a good one and marks it out from other games of the genre. Although, as mentioned on www.chud.com, the designers missed out on an important point - "This means paying attention to the fine details and making intelligent decisions... Forcing the player to fight unending waves of evil faceless henchmen instead of Bond and the forces of good

I found this review by them a bit harsh calling it the worst game, but it is a lesser Bond game.

That review seemed to be attacking EA as a company rather than the GERA game. Fortunately for the reviewer, most of the attacks they make onto GERA are for the most part shared opinions. I wrote this little ditty on another GERA thread and will post it again there.

GERA is a generic plain FPS and nothing more. It rips off all the good features offered by more respect games. I thought EA would be on a winning streak having perfected the Bond formula in EON, but GoldenEye is one step ahead of Agent Under Fire and a clear mile from tailing Nightfire.

Also just to add, the game is really ugly looking. The guns remain the most detailed aspect where as everything else is bland and just plain ******.

It is time for EA to throw in the towel. Pass on this franchise to a better deserving developer.
