Okay I'm re-reading Dr. No and when I got to chapter 3 where M and Tanner brief Bond on his missioon I can't beleive how dense M seems:
Stragways has disappeared as has his female assistant. His house was bruned to the ground and they had just began transmitting to London. Now if that doesn't seem suspicious what would?
Is it just me or does it seem very uncharateristic of M not to thing something might have happened?
