I am in the middle of chapter 18 now but I couldn't help noticing some obvoius nods to Fleming books in it before.
Ch 11 Bond does his morning exercises which include lifting his legs "as someone wrote of him in a confidential dossier "until his stomac screamed""
that sounds familiar, but I only read few Fleming books in English, so I can't spot it. Could anyone help?
Ch 15 - Perlman says: "First, I've a story to tell. I've read a book once, where someone in the intelligemce game said just that, and wheh he finished the telling of it, the lives of those who listened changed dramatically"
Which book might that be?
Also , a reference to Connery as Bond's favourite actor
OK, off I go to finish my Scorpius...
