I realise that with Friday fast approaching, comments and reactions to this thread may get short shrift, but I'm in no hurry.

I have noticed these ICQ numbers by the side of a few of your profiles, so I did a search, read the blurb, visited Downloads.com with the result that I am now all badged up and fully certificated. (I'm 35, I don't have a WAP phone yet. What can I say?)

Having got this far, I am now thinking, "What now?"

Does anyone use it?
Are there any advantages over and above emailing someone?
The site looks busy, so is, by extension, the world of ICQ?
I don't know of any friends who have this little gimmick - is it something similar to forums, or more adapted to just close buddies?

And indeed, any general comments.

Thanks in anticipation.

Well it's not just a forum thing. Anyone can use it. I'm not sure of many members who use it all that much, I think most people just have it. I personally use MSN Messenger just cause it's a little friendlier on the CPU.
