I was sad to read in this morning's Variety that Julius Harris died of heart failure on October 17 at age 81.
Harris broke grounds for African-Americans in film and will be always remembered as Dr.Kananga's evil henchman Tee-Hee.
Farewell Mr.Harris :)

That's sad news. A great and very likable Bond villain. "You just reach in his mouth and pull his teeth out!"

This is indeed sad news, and he was a classic Baddie!. :)

He's now in 'butterhook' heaven!. :)

Cheers,

Well.....

Damn!

What a charming gent and great actor he was.

I had the pleasure to attend a Q&A with him (along with Gloria Hendry) at a screening of LALD almost a year ago at the DGA (Zencat, Athena and Ry were also there) and he was cordial and quite entertaining.

Another fine actor from the world of 007.

RIP Tee-Hee. :) :)

I didn't know he was that old. I enjoyed his work in several films. It's sad to see a lot of the talent associated with the series passing away. :)

A very chrasimatic person. He's one of the underrated villians to appear in the Bond rogue gallery. Sad news. RIP.

If memory is correct, he played roles in several blaxploitation flix during the 1970s, and therefore helped contribute to the importance of blacks in cinema; so he won't just be remembered for doing Bond even though TEE HEE is one of his most important roles. The blaxploitation craze was a movement to give blacks better roles and establish them in the film business.

Sad news indeed.

Julian W Harris was great as Teehee. Not the best villain of all time, but one you always enjoy watching the scenes of, I find.

Just a little harmless black humor...er, morbid humor. The thread is titled "Tee-Hee Dies". I bet Fleming would have laughed.

I didn't realize he was still alive. I hadn't seen him in anything since the 70's so, I assumed he died young. Shame he didn't do any cons. Would've been cool to meet him in person. Wonder what he thought of the action figure made of his character in LALD?

Umknown is spelled unknown.

I hope you appreciate an education on spelling.
