I saw this exhibition when it was at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit about a week before it closed back in January. It is definitely worth the time and, from where you live, the drive.

Don't know if they had party thing, but that sounds fun, too. Turn rarely gets to things like that. So I'll live vicariously through you guys. :)

I would definitely be interested in attending said exhibit. Especially if it included some CBN/BCW-style madness. Unfortunately the October party date looms too near for serious consideration for me. Perhaps if one of the ever charming and ever talented CBN powers that be contact them, there could be arranged a private CBN event and soiree. I am simply and respectfully floating the idea out and would be willing to help in anyway I can.

All Best,
The Solex Agitator

The parTAY date is looming too quickly. But AZ isn't far from Los Angeles (or San Diego), this might make a nice weekend get away for the LA crew and anyone along the way :)

$150 per head? I'll miss the party(I'll be in London seeing Roger at the Barbican) but, might make the trip to Arizona to see the exhibit. Why don't these exhibitions ever come to NY?

Having given this some thought, I believe I'll be headed out to AZ after the 1st of the year to check this out.

I recently received an email offer from Ritz Carlton (damn Flicka and I and our taste for luxury) and think I'll take them up on their kind offer of a suite.

Bond CD's, the Jag tuned for the road and a couple of days in the desert taking in the exhibition and some golf (alas poor Flicka may have to be submitted to the spa) along with a bit of fine dining.

Done deal.

There will be pics. :)

"Will" indeed!

Shake off the holidays, cruise on the road, good food and company and BOND.

Sounds good.

Make that great!

Two handsome chaps, two lovely ladies and two luxury sedans blasting John Barry and roaring through the desert...Yeah...

No, really. :)

:)

I have the whole of next week off of work... so... why not. It would be majorly fun, I'm in the mood for a road trip... especially if it includes Bond, James Bond.

Let us all know how the road trip turns out. It sounds like a blast.

Phoenix might be a bit chilly this time of year though.

Actually, we're going to do it another time. A few things came up and we just couldn't do it this week. But soon. Very soon.

I had a great time. It's nice to see something of this calibre dedicated to Bond so close to home. Thankfully the banner did not read "Disney presents..." so all the good things were intact. There was sex, there was violence, there was humour...all the goodies one would expect.

Unfortunately it must be housed in a Science Centre where parents bring the little ones to jostle those who are trying to contemplate Solitaire's dress in private. Alas, this kind of show appeals to the 8 year old as much as to the 28 year old Bond fan.

Next stop, I hear, is the Baltimore area...
