[Kingdom Come]

Thread dedicated to a smorgasbord series of games (4) that I hope some of you will partake and find entertaining. Play one or more game, you don't have to play all, as at least one, is near impossible.



1st game:

Name films that have NO opening titles (or even better, films which have No credits of ANY kind written on screen at the begining. There are a good few and to start off I nominate THE LAST ACTION HERO (this film does not even have the name of the company).

The Last Action Hero.
The Passion Of The Christ.
The Mummy Returns.



2nd game:

Nominate films, or just one film, that were sunk or nearly sunk by
the unconvincing or dodgy character accents:

Tom Hanks and The Terminal accent.
Brad Pitt's accent in The Devil's Own.
Nick Nolte and his accent in Lorenzo's Oil.
Sean Connery's 'faithful' accent in The Name Of The Rose.
Tom Cruise and his accent in Far And Away.
Richard Attenbourough and his TWO accents in Jurassic Park.


and the winner by 72.000.000 miles, is Nick Nolte and THAT
accent for Lorenzo's Oil.



3rd game:

Famous/infamous films that in the past (distant/less distant) have garnered awards and MUCH praise, but that you yourself cannot (no matter how many times you have watched the film) understand either the films appeal or the film itself. A few sacred cows about to be smashed. . . please add yours to the pot. . .

Those films do not work for me - and beautifully ironically, I have all but two of em on dvd!! now play the game and stop being nasty.
