I'm going to give this a try for a little bit. :)

Seems kind of slow to load, but then loads everything quicker than IE, also the Google search text box should prove handy. :)

It only load slow at first as the cache (Temporary Internet Files) are empty...

But once you start revisiting sites, you'll notice the speed difference :)

I'm just finalising the CBn search plugin for Firefox also...

I've been using Firefox for a while and I have noticed that some sites do load a bit slower, but not much. I would highly recommend it though, it's great!

I switched about 6 months ago and haven't looked back. I love it.

I use Firefox. I have for a while. and there's a few things that irk me, such as you can't click a link while a page is loading, you have to wait until the page is completely loaded to click it. That and this has trouble running ActiveX applets (So certain sites are rendered completely unusable, but that's if you're using Windows Update or something.)

Needs a few changes to be my perfect replacement, but it works fine for me in the meantime.

In just under 100 hours, we have smashed through our one million download campaign--with 6 days still to go! This is the fastest adoption rate we have ever experienced, higher than every previous Firefox release. But it's not time to relax our efforts. How soon can we break through 2 million?

I just DLed it. The first time I DLed it, for some reason it wasn't working so I had to uninstall and re-download. Now it seems to be working great. Kinda like Safari for the Mac. The design is a little rough... but if it means no pop-ups then I'll live with it :)

For Windows - this has to be the best browser around.

For Mac, you've got Safari - although Firefox is available for OS X.

In your settings, make sure under Privacy > Cache you have a fair amount of disk space available for the Cache.

What are you system specs?

I have completely switched over now (although I have to run IE because of my website company), this browser is really cool!

(And no more spyware downloading when you are surfing on pørn sites... I have heard so :) :) :))

Yeah - I still have 3 versions of IE installed to test for compatibility.

If you like Firefox, can I also suggest switching your email clients to Thunderbird - from the creators of Firefox.

A far more secure email app than Outlook/Express.

For Windows - this has to be the best browser around.

And I have Win XP, which is the recommended Win for FireFox (I keep wanting to call it FoxFire). I'm thinking of completely taking IE off my computer just to clear out the jump and then reinstalling it (having to use it for Win Updates).

You can't actually get rid of IE totally. The bummer with Microsoft is that they have to integrate *everything* into their operating system to make a monopoly of everything.

I just ditched the shortcuts from my Desktop and Start Menu on my PC.

Is Firefox made by Apple, because it is almost identical to Safari? In fact, they are so much alike, I'm just staying with Safari, but I LOVE Firefox on Athena's computer (that's where I am now) because it has taken care of her pop-up problem. (Now if I can just get Athena to switch to a Mac. :))

Luckily those of us who have Mac's have a solid, secure, web standards supporting browser bundled with the OS. However, Windows users don't :)

Mac OS X users are fine sticking with Safari.
Windows users should switch to Firefox.

Evan - Firefox should be bundled along in CD's for PC magazines, I believe... or you can order it on disc from the Firefox web site.
