Hello, I'm new here.

I am a Bond fan from Australia who has been a bond fan ever since I sat at home and watched them on the telly with dad.

I've recently started to buy my Bond collection on VHS (Yet to own a DVD player yet :) ) and they are really good, especially with all the special features that are on them.

So far I have bought Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice,
Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who loved me,
For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy and The World is Not Enough.

I know you have started a few topics about rankings of the Bond movies,
so in my introductian post I'd like to rank my Bond films in order of my
favourite to least favourite and give you a reason for each.

1 - For Your Eyes Only (Very, very entertaining and a very well produced
Bond film - great scenery, girl and plenty of action - first class!)
2 - Octopussy (Saw this the other night. Its a really good entertaining
one with heaps of suspence! Top marks again to Moore)
3 - Goldfinger (I find some of Sean Connerys films a bit old and slow,
but this is a classic, I loved it from beginning to end!)
4- Live and Let Die (The first ever Bond film I saw and the one that got
me hooked. Love the song and the great boat chase. A great film)
5 - You Only Live Twice (A cool one from Sean Connery, great sets and
imagination with the only flaw poor special effects. But this is classic
Bond - it moves fast and is really entertaining. An A+ Bond film!)
6 - Moonraker (A bit silly with Bond being on the moon, but this film
is just so dam enjoyable and Jaws is really funny)
7 - The Man With The Golden Gun (Another super entertaining effort by Roger
Moore, and I find it odd that so many people hate it. Its judged too harshly,
as its really funny, entertaining and Nick-Nack is cool!!)
8 - The Spy Who Loved Me (Many peoples favourite Moore one, I feel its
a bit overrated. But it is still cool to watch)
9 - Dr. No (The first Bond film is good, not as boring as I thought it would
be)
10 - Tomorrow Never Dies (The best of the 'modern' bonds, with great locations
and plenty of explosions. But I rekon the older Bond films are better)
11 - From Russia With Love (Good scenery and Connery is good, but its a
bit slow and a little bit too early)
12 - The Living Daylights (A bit long, but its OK, but Dalton does not
look like Bond!)
13 - On Her Magestys Secret Service (Saw it for the Australian (Lazenby)
but I found it a bit boring)
14 - The World Is Not Enough (Too Modern and Denise Richards cant act!)
15 - GoldenEye (A bit dissapointed after seeing this at the cinema, dont
know why)
16 - A View To A Kill (Moore is too old and he should have stopped after
the brilliant Octopussy)
17 - Licence To Kill (Dalton again...)
18 - Thunderball (I bought this on tape because I thought it would be
a real cool one with Sean Connery, but I was very dissapointed as it
was way too long and boring in parts)
19 - Diamonds Are Forever (Just did not like this one as much as the others
- so much so its last on the list!)

I also would like to add that I think Roger Moore was the best Bond. He is slammed by many 'so called' Bond fans, but he did alot for the series (if it wasent for him, it would not be going today!), and most of my favourite Bond films have Roger Moore in them. Connery is a close, close second.

Thanks for reading this post and I hope I can chat to you guys some more about the best movie series in the world - James Bond 007!

Thanks everyone for replying.

I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I love Bond films (obviously) and AFL Footy (Aussie rules to you overseas people - heard of it?)

- And to any Australians on this board - did you nitice that 'Diamonds Are Forever' was on TV last night? I ranked it as my least favourite Bond, but after seeing it again, I really enjoyed it much more than when I first saw it (dont know why!), so now it up higher on my list)

Once again thanks fo reading my post!

Hey AussieBond, hows it going ? I'm from Oz too. Anyway, glad you had a change of heart with Diamonds Are Forever, I reakon it may not be a masterpiece, but theres plenty crammed into it to make for a pretty good 2 hours.

You like AFL too ? Which team do you follow ? I'm an Essendon fan myself, pity about the Grand Final this year. :)

Anyway, good to see you here.

Hi Guys 0 I think I'm fully registed now!!!

Melbourne is the capital of Victoria, on mainland Australia's southernmost coast, about an hours flight from Sydney. (Look at the Map of Aus, and its down from Sydney - at the mainland coast just above Tasmania). Its the second largest city in Aus.

And in the AFL, I used to live in Geelong, so I follow the Cats!

Welcome, AusBond!

I'm being to think you fellows down under are teaming up and taking over the board. :) I myself rate Roger Moore as my fifth favourite Bond. But don't get me wrong, I will complain about Roger sometimes and I may like the other chaps better but I love Roger's Bond. And I know if it weren't Roger, rather chatting about rumours of Bond 20, we would be working up petitions to bring James Bond back to the big screen.

So anyway, welcome to the board and I hope you become an active member. Who knows, maybe you'll put up 200 posts in your first month or so. ;D
