The Chicagoland Entertainment Collector's Expo will be held on September 10, 11 & 12 at the Ramada Inn O'Hare Convention Center. Special guest stars will include Maud Adams! and even the guy who played Yak Face and got a whole 5.7 miliseconds of screen time in Star Wars will be in attendance.

Never been to one of these things myself, but it looks as if I might have to go and check this one out and see what 007 goodies I may find. You can check out the website for a list of celebrities, directions, pricing, and what not.

Anyone planning on attending?

I went to something like this about 2 years ago in Chicago and it was great! I had a chance to meet Maud Adams, Tanya Roberts and Caroline Munro, along with buying a bunch of 007 merchandise. My 15 year class reunion is on the 11th & 12th, but I may try to get down there on the 10th. Thanks for the reminder...

Here's the lovely Maud Adams:

Neat pictures! I live about 20 minutes or so from O'Hare, but I seriously doubt I could go.

I'd give it consideration, though.

Just a reminder that the Collector's Expo will be on the 10th, 11th & 12th. Perhaps I'll see one of you there?

Thanx for the reminder, but I still must go to see if there would be any nifty 007 memorbilia that I had to have in the ole collection.

Is anyone planning on going?

Raymond Benson is usually VERY good at keeping his web-site updated with his appearances. And I'm not seeing anything about this weekend -- unless he flubbed up... I mean he is close enough to Chicago :)

What a huge collosal disappointment this show was. Admission was $7 which got you inside a room with about 30 tables of people selling trading cards or Star Wars stuff... with a few Star Trek and various other items thrown in. There was hardly anything to be found at this show regarding 007, unless you didn't already have the trading cards. The people who were signing autographs were seated at random tables around the show and you could pay the man who played Yak Face $20 for his autograph... or any of the other actors that I failed to recognize.

:)

They were giving away a bag o' crap when you paid your $7 to get in, so I got one of those... and I got a free flyer for the new Quotable James Bond trading cards that are coming out in November..... That about does it...... :)

Ugh, doesn't sound to well at all. Sorry that it was a dissapointment there, Indy. It definitely sounded like a much better deal earlier on.
