Let's see, bits of Simon & Simon in the 80s, "The Stuntman" at the Del Coronado, K-9 with Jim Belushi, Demolition Man, The Heist with Pierce (I met him at the Del Mar Race Track while they were filming), Silk Stalkings, Renegade, The Chronical, Nightman, Pensecola Wings of Gold, and a few others. I'm sure I left out some great movies but that's all I can think of right now.

Lots of stuff shoots in San Diego. I wish more did though.

They parts of Twister down in Kay County, Oklahoma, near Wakita and Ponca City, which was 25 miles south of a town I used to call home. I drove down that way in the summer of 1995 when they had some of the highways closed to local traffic only so they could film car scenes. The scenes with the water spouts and flying cow were done in this area. The water spout is near the old dam on Kaw Lake outside Ponca City, as well as the scene where they are driving the truck through the narrow trench.

Can't say anythingin my exact town. However, Bruce Almighty featured Eyewitness News, which is viewed in this part of New York.

Hmpf. Although it seems they hardly filmed much of it here.

Geez. Ah well, close.

What on earth was the point of that post?

:)

It was editted by me, I'm trying to find the review where it said exactly where the film was filmed. Maybe it doesn't make much sense now, without the link, but I am trying to find the correct one.

It was supposedly in a close town, or in other words city, Buffalo.

About 25 minutes south of me: The Molly Maguires; and I have been told, although I was only 3-4 at the time, that Sean Connery stayed at a hotel about 10 minutes from where I lived at the time.

Francis Ford Coppola filmed his 1983 film "The Outsiders" here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. How Coppola could have directed a film of this quality, I stagger at the thought. But then again, I do champion The Godfather Part III as just as good as Part I and II.

Uhm. A "Tatort" back in the 90s featured scenes from Trier. Okay, that will only say something to our German users...

Says something to me at least :) .

Some "Tatort" scenes at my town as well (in fact, this one will be on TV soon).
Tatort is Germany's longest running and most successful Crime series.

Any movie camera near this place would be the talk of town for months.

... when you're growing up in small town ... :)

I'm from Louisville, Kentucky. We've been having more film shot in my state in lst few years. Seabiscuit is one. I actually worked on an independent film called Paper Cut. The big one this summer was Elizabethtown. Elizabethtown is a city close to mine, and all the stuff was run out of Louisville. It's Cameron Crowe who did Almost Famous. It stars Orlando Bloom, and I was actually in the running the running to be his stand-in. Ironic, due to what I think of him.

Of course, I'm moving to Los Angeles soon. I believe they shoot movie there too. :)
