CR"JAMES BOND WILL RETURN"

And now my question...
Would folks prefer just the words "JAMES BOND WILL RETURN" at the end of the movie, as we've had since TLD, or would you rather they decided the title of Bond 21 now, and had "JAMES BOND WILL RETURN IN CASINO ROYALE" (for the sake of argument).
I can see arguments for both sides:
"JAMES BOND WILL RETURN" does feel cooler somehow, shorter, snappier, and the way they did it for TWINE (at the start of the end credits with Arnold's kick- music) for me was actually more exciting that some of the action sequences in the main film. It works because its simple.
"...WILL RETURN IN FINAL ASSIGNMENT BEYOND THE ICE MOON", however, would certainly save us all the speculation about the name that has used up so much bandwith and server space in the last 6 months. It also whets the appetite so much more than a bare statement. It's like a spoiler right there, teasing you to come back next time. It also gives a greater feel of continuity to the series.
So there's my twopenn'orth, as you may have guessed I'm undecided, but interested to hear what other folks think....

All this business with no title is dragging on a bit too long.
They've probably decided to return to the tradition and so are thinking up titles for the next eight movies! :-D

Here's an idea. How about, for the 40th Anniversary DVD/VHS releases, they go back and change the end credits on all the movies from AVTAK and up to reflect history? In other words, it will now read "The End of A View To A Kill. But James Bond Will Return in The Living Daylights." Is this a good idea?

Blofeld's Cat (20 Feb, 2002 03:59 a.m.):
I'm one of those credit watchers that stays seated until the curtains start to close. In any case, I'm not fussed if that phrase appears before or after the credits.
As long as it appears. If it doesn't, I will automatically assume that there won't be a next Bond movie.
I'm the same BC. But when I went to see TWINE, I wanted to stay to listen to the whole of Arnold's music. But, my Dad got up and started leaving so I had to got too. Well, I've got it on DVD now and I can stay till the end of the credits without the ushers telling me to leave. Now, my little brother is a different matter...

I'd like to see it before the credits start rollin'. Seeing that TWINE actually got me mroe excited for the next one. The Bond theme blasting as "James Bond Will Return" appears on a black screen. Also, who really sticks around to the end of the credits?

Recently they have not had that luxary of choosing from a ready-made list, and have had to choose carefully a title that is befitting the final script. If it was going to take this long to come up with the Bond 20 title back then, TWINE would have been a year late to release just because they couldn't decide the title of the next Bond movie to add in the end credits.
I'm just as happy that at least there is a "James Bond Will Return". If Bond 20 doesn't have that then I'd be very worried.
