We all know that the Vanquish will be featured in Bond 20, but what about the DB7? I know that in NDOD (which was excellent), Benson mentions how Bond "has his eye on the new Aston Martin DB7." should this car be featured as a cameo in other Bond movies or books? I thought it might be kind of funny to have it in the background at Q branch, much like in DAF. What do you think? (BTW, if this topic was started before, could you be kind enough to direct me to it? Thanks.)

When BMW got the contract, we all knew it was going to be a three picture deal.
Does anyone know or has anyone heard what the contract specifics are on this one? Picture to picture or is there a term involved?
But yes, I thought the DB7 should have been used in place of the BMWs but since we've arrived at the Vanquish, there's no point in looking back.

I must say that I actually prefer DB7 to Vanquish. I found DB7's chassis less muscular, therefore more elegant. But also, I think there's no use of changing Bond's cars in every films. Vanquish can become a CLASSIC Bond car only if it's driven by 007 in more than one film.

I personally hope they stick with the Vanquish for a while. The DB7 should have been instead of a BMW in one of the earlier Brosnan Films, but there's no use looking back now.
A new thought on looking back: If the three to five year gap between the pre-titles and the main body of the film is true, maybe they give the DB7 a cameo as Bond's car in the pre-title sequence. And then when we get to the main film Q gives him the Vanquish. I wouldn't squeeze in the car if there is no place for it, but if Bond does have an excuse for to drive in the Pre-t's then, heck, why not the DB7?
