As far as I know, they made up the location of Isthmas City for the movie. I'm almost positive that although it may have been based on a real place, it isn't one. Granted some of it was filmed there, its not actually Mexico in the movie.

Yes, a fake location, but the real location was Mexico. They could do Mexico and actually have it BE Mexico in the film though.

Really any setting would suit me just so long as we keep Bond the hell out of space!!! No Moonraker throwbacks please!

Bond in space wouldn't be that bad of a thing. (I've never had a problem with Moonraker.)

Well, I'm not a huge fan of it but I don't hate it or anything. I just can't picture Pierce floating through space! :)
