Funny you should just post this :) ...I just got an e-mail from Pierre Rodiac with this info and I told him we'd get an announcement up in CBn's main page in mid August (you know, closer to the date).

ThanX for the pre-cursor, Cesari :)

Wow, this sounds great. Will it be one night only or will the exhibition be open for several days?

I just wish it was two weeks earlier, cause I'll be in Paris at the end of August, for the Apple Expo. That would be just perfect. Not sure if I can make it to Paris twice within two weeks, but I'll see about that.

It was an informative and interesting evening. Vincent and you, Cesari, have done a very good presentation. There were many information about Ian Fleming that I didn't know. Also was it wonderful to be in Paris again.

I really wold have loved to be there, but unfortunately I couldn't make it. It didn't look to bad for me two days before the date, but on the day itself, it turned out that there was a lot of urgent work to be finished :) .

Any deteailed reports on the event? Pictures?

Damn, I should have known that...

But unfortunately, I wasn't there :) . We usually go there every year with the whole company (and on the company's money). Not that we are all Apple geeks, we usually visit the Expo for a couple of hours and then have a good time in Paris for two days - our boss' way to compensate us for loads of extra hours :) .

Unfortunately, we're currently having a lot of work with a new project, so we had to cancel it this year. I had hoped that it would all be finished by the time of the Fleming event, but unfortunately, we were a few days late. Had the event been on Friday, I would have been there.

Here is a short report of the evening. It's not very detailed.

The event was opened by a woman from the library. She told us about the library and the Annenberg Foundation which sponsored the evening. She then introduced Vincent Chenille and Pierre Rodiac.

Then spoke Vincent Chenille about Ian Fleming and his life. And how some events in his life have influenced the James Bond stories. For example the gambling against German spies in Portugal during the war. Where Fleming tried to get their funds and lost his own money. Which was used in the novel

You're welcome.
I was also glad that I went. It was a nice time in Paris.
