Well I am fairly sure she's a nice girl, and the name calling seem a bit excessive. She might be dumb, but she's still making lots of money so how dumb can she be???

Doesn't anyone remember the whole "Chicken of the Sea" thing?! The Domino's Buffalo Wings commercial?!

I remember hearing at work that Miss Simpson complimented the Secretary of the Interior at Washington, on their lovely decorative styles.

:) :) :)

HA HA HA.. this rumor is some kind of sick joke right? lol :) After the way Jessica Simpson totaly wrecked Berlin's "Take My Breath Away", I'd hate to think what she do to the Bond series if she was cast in the next film.

She could be just a hot chick lying by a pool somewhere but other than that forget about it. She can't act her way out of a bag. She is rediculously hot in Maxim and Stuff but that doesn't mean she's an actress. I believe there's another thread around here somewhere (Beauty or Talent) that addresses this.

I think Denise was about as young as they should get. If Simpson gets in then next we'll have Lindsey Lohan and Hillary Duff. Maybe they can save the teenagers for "Young James Bond". 007 should be for adults.

Who makes these stories up? No matter how hot this woman is, her IQ like five. It's amazing she gets by on a daily basis. Maybe it's time we stopped making these kind of people famous.

The Pizza Hut Buffalo Chicken Pizza ad? "C'mon, flap your wings! Buk-awk!" I just about threw my remote through the television. Now, one of the newer episodes of her show has her getting LASIK surgery, then getting out of the car (fortunately, someone else's driving), and telling her friend, "I can't see anything!" I pity poor Nick Lachey. Pity, pity, pity.

I think she's a very fine looking lady, but her lack of intelligence is rather scary.

You'd think she'd actually learn a lot more with her great wealth, but to even have that TV

The funniest thing I saw on her show was when she called Nick to ask why Bratwurst is white when ham is pink. She wondered if it comes from German white pigs. He hung up on her. I laughed my head off.

I have to believe that part of her stupidity is an act. But then I also believe that most strippers are putting themselves through medical school. I'm a sucker for a beautiful woman I guess.

The stupidy isn't an act. I don't think she got very far in her education. I wouldn't either if I was rich.

I don't think it's all an act. Even her husband seems mystified by some of her actions.

She definitely isn't the brightest crayon in the box, but I think that some of the things she says are said to make it seem more like it. The more stupid she is, the more people tune in to their horrible show.

I am not saying it is an act, but I have to believe at least some of the things she says are not her own doing.

According to Entertainment Tonight via Dark Horizons, Jessica Simpson has been cast as Daisy Duke in the remake of The Dukes of Hazzard, due in 2005, which, I'd say, puts her out of the Bond 21 running.

Not that she was ever in it. :)

According to the IMDb trivia section for the film, she was in the running, alongside Simpson, Mandy Moore and Jessica Biel.

Sorry, but the notion of Pierce Brosnan trying to do a romantic scene with Simpson or Spears just cracks me up :)

(The audition, based on a scene from TND)
Brosnan : I always wondered how I'd feel if I ever saw you again.
(Brief pause)
Brosnan : Pssst, this is the bit where you slap me.
Simpson : Oh yeah. Sorry sugar. (Slaps Brosnan)
Brosnan : Errrr, Now I know. Something I said?
Simpson : How about the words "I'll be....I'll be..". Damn, what was the rest of it again?
Brosnan : IT'S "I'LL BE RIGHT BACK". "I'LL BE RIGHT BACK", FOR CRYING OUT LOUD
Simpson : Oh yeah. *ahem*. How about the words "I'll be right...". Do you think I should put extra emphasis on the 'back'.
Brosnan : Right, that's it!! Ring up Jackman. I've had enough.

I wouldn't even be able to stand one line, yet alone a scene.

She lives a few blocks away from me, so maybe I'll knock on her door and ask her if she is the new Bond girl. Oh wait, on second thought no. Jessica Simpson sucks.

Quiet the odd little role too, from what I've seen in the trailers.

AHHH its bad enough that they're even redoing Dukes of Hazzard as a movie!! Leave the classic TV show alone!!! I think Jessica Simpson would be better off in a Nancy Drew movie or something... From what I've seen of the trailer for Dukes, it looks like American Pie in Hazzard County!! Thank god for the DVD's of the TV show!!
