Question,
In Diamonds Are Forever, after Bond has read a message from M, he looks out of his room at the Ritz. To quote:
The door closed quietly. Bond walked across the room to the window and looked over Green Park.
For a moment he had a clear vision of the spare, elderly figure sitting back in his chair in the quiet office.
Is Fleming referring to Bond just visualizing M in his Regent's Park office or is he referring to actual person that Bond sees across Green Park? Any ideas?

After reading that section just now in the book, I believe it is Fleming describing Bond visualizing M in his office.Question,
