(yes, I know it's Canada not Canadia. It's a joke. This one time back in 2003, I was really tired or nervous or something and I said to INTREPID something to the effect of, "You'd better find your passport so you can get back to Canadia." ...total Blond Moment.)

Actually, my passport expires on July 8th. I should get that renewed sometime, but I'm not planning any trips to the states until the Autumn.Happy Canadia Day all you Canadians!

Until a couple of years ago nobody cared about passports between the USA and Canada, but now it's a bit more important. Even when travelling by car.

You asked for itYes, I'm a blond.
(Remember... I post this out of love...)
Song: "Oh I Wish I Was Back In Old Canada." MST3K Episode: 910- The Final Sacrifice Mike: [telling a joke] ...and the drunk guy says, "I can't help being an idiot, I'm Canadian!" Crow: [Laughs] You're right, they're so pathetic, Mike! [Whistle blows, Servo comes in wearing Mountie uniform] Servo: Enough! There's been too much Canada-bashing for far too long! I say, no more! Mike: Don't you mean, "No more, eh"? Crow: [Laughs] Good one, man! They are SO stupid! Servo: Stop it now! Instead, let us offer our Northern brothers and sisters this song of tribute! [Music starts] Oh I wish I was back in old Canada. A land which I never shall lampoon. How I pine for the ice covering Lake Manitoba. And the beauty that is Saskatoon. Mike: (I got one) Oh I wish I was stuck in the hills of Alberta. Drinking beer with some big dumb guy trapping fur. As he scraped and he chiseled all the moose dung off his boots.bI would learn that he's the Prime Minister. Crow: Oh I wish I was in the land that gave us Peter Jennings. Alannis Morrisette, Mike Meyers too. No I take that back, I wouldn't go there even if you paid me. O Canada, you are a place I must eschew. Servo: Now this is not in the spirit that I intended! Mike: Oh, come on, give in, I mean, after all they gave us Ed the Sock---and Rush! Crow: Yeah! What are you defending? They're such *feebs*! Servo: (OK, I'll try.) Oh, I wish I was blowing up Prince Edward Island. And going on to bomb Ontario--ha ha! The destruction of Canada and all of its culture. Is by far my favo-rite scenario. Mike: OK, now, that's a little strong Servo: (No, you're right Mike! This is much more fun!) Just where the hell does Canada get off sharing a border. With countries far superior to it? Why, you lousy stinkin', Francophonic, bacon-lovin' bastards. Your country's just a giant piece of sh--- Mike: OK I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH!!! Servo: (sobbing) I'm sorry! I have no sense of proportion! I'm a disgrace to my uniform! Mike: That's OK, now calm down now---mustn't hate, mustn't hate... Crow: At least so overtly. Mike: Right. Must disguise our hate...just a little... We'll be right back. Shh...shh...it's OK now, Dudley. Servo: Pardonnez-moi! Pardonnez-moi! |

I've never been over to see the Freedom Festival but it sounds interesting. I'm sure Windsor is great for Michigan people because if they are not 21 yet, they can just come over and take advantage of our nice 19 legal drinking and gambling age. The last time I was in Detroit was last summer when I made a visit to the Henry Ford Museum to see, what else, the James Bond displays.A belated happy Canada Day. Jeff007, since you're in London, have you ever driven over to the Freedom Festival on the Windsor-Detroit waterfront? I love Detroit, but I always end up having a better time on the Windsor side (no Detroit jokes, please).
