Scene It? 007 Edition, Available for Australian pre-order
Details here.

Looking forward to this, I must say! Even if it'll be one of those games that sits in the cupboard because there's no-one to play it with. :)

I was actually just looking for some sign that the US edition is up for pre-order anywhere, but neither the official Scene It? site, nor Amazon.com have a listing for it.

Well, if worse comes to worse, I'll buy the PAL version for my multi-region DVD player.

Just wait till you play the game and see some of the questions! You have to remember too, there will be questions that will be drop dead easy because... well... marketing, this isn't just for James Bond hardcores like us :)

Well, if worse comes to worse, I'll buy the PAL version for my multi-region DVD player.

Out of curiousity, have you ever purchased a PAL dvd and played it with a region free player?

My understanding of regions has more to do with studios trying to control international markets by restricting dvds to markets organized by continent. Region encoded dvds and video standards for a particular continent are two different things.

In other words, I am rather skeptical that a region free player can convert a PAL signal for an NTSC monitor. But maybe there are players that do just that.

Looking forward to the game.

Oh man, this game looks so cool!

I have never played Scene It, but from what I have seen and heard, it's a really fun game. And the added Bond should make it 10x the fun!

I am so buying this game, I swear! :)

For what it's worth I have no troubles playing PAL or NTSC DVDs on my region-free player.

However, in Indonesia all TVs are sold with a dual capability to show both PAL and NTSC, so I don't know if it's the player or the TV making the picture work on the TV screen.

Just played the online sampler and I scored in the "Brilliant Bond" category.

Got all questions right in 45 seconds in Misson 1.

Got all questions right in 37.5 seconds in Mission 2 (and this was with low, 1 & 2 rolls of the dice).

This is a cool game!

Maybe the L.A. CBn crew can get together and play once a month or so. :)

Ya, we totally could do an LA 007 Scene it? night! Of course, that might reveal how little we actually know... :)

I finally played the online sample, pretty fun. Scored a 32:14 which I understand could be taken a couple of ways: either I took a "little while" to answer 3 or 4 questions or took no time to answer 8 or 9. I will say that I recklessly gambled on one timing question that immediately had two right answers (films where Bond visits Venice) and luckily chose correctly.

One game I liked a lot online was when TBS was playing the Bonds they had one of those NTN multiple choice games. The only one I got "wrong" was which was Michael G. Wilson's first Bond film. I answered Goldfinger because he was an extra on that, but the official stock answer was TSWLM.

p.s. Just played part two: 11 questions, 30:02.

What a Bond nerd.

Yes, the Multi-region DVD player I have will play all regions and allows me to watch PAL on my NTSC TV set.

That's OK because my father can still bring a copy with him to Bali when he vists in mid November. :)

I don't think this will be commercially available in the shops here and I'm not going to buy a "street copy" if they'll be on offer.

I got this game for Christmas! It is the best board game I've ever played! :) After I opened it I played the short version (by keeping the board folded). I played it with my twleve year old sister and she beat me! I felt very stupid. Since it was my first time playing the game I didn't reaally know how it worked and plus I was going easy on her since she doesn't even know the difference between Goldfinger and GoldenEye. I've won every single game since because I can answer 99% of the trivia questions. I bet the game can be really fun when playing it with another Bond fan.

It's finally gone down a bit in price here, I'm going to hopefully grab it soon! Playing it with someone will be a different matter...
