I can safely say that this is one of the most interesting articles yet, and the comparison pictures are outstanding.

A very interesting article full of Bond elements. Sounds like the trip was terrific!

I must say, the biggest surprise for me was the Kentucky Fried Chicken from Goldfinger. I just couldn't believe it's still there and it's STILL a KFC!

This article is your masterpiece, Athena. Great work! :)

Well done Athena!

Great story and pics!

For the record: The last pic of me in the lounge - I wasn't thinking about life or death.

I was thinking about whether or not we all had enough time for another round - We did, as our flight was delayed about 50 mins. - The only hitch in our travels home.

See you all in New York next year. Flicka and I will also be bringing two first timers who have heard of our BCW exploits, but after seeing all the pics from this last one, they want in.

Hence, I will have to probably get the Presidential Suite wherever we're at.

Again Athena, great work and fun to read.

Thanks!!!

Great photos, great article. You all seem to have had a splendid time.

There is some serious talk about making BCW10 our first international trip. We'll expect to see you there, Jim. In fact, if you're not there, we will come and get you. :)

Well done, Athena! For time it took to read, I actually felt like I was almost there! Thanks for the escapisim! The comparison photos are excellent. Coupled with the "exploits" from the earlier BCW threads, you have presented an extremely well-rounded piece of reportage for those who could not attend!

I really love that blue "License Revoked" crew shirt. "Conch Republic 1988" is a very curious thing to have on there. I believe it refers to the short lived attempt to make Key West it's own...republic? Did the producers put this on the crew shirt to gain favor with the locals maybe? A really nice collectible that is.

Great work, Athena007.

Another interesting thing we found out at the Hemingway house is that Bond jumps off of the balcony (a good 15-20 foot drop I might add) on one side of the house and lands on the ground running out a path on the other side of the house. That's quite the magical leap.

It was a great trip. Nice article Athena. Great photos with the screen shots. You guys matched up the angles perfectly.

Glor...the whole lead up to the Hemingway House is a magical trip.

Let's not forget he goes from the Wharf to the Hemingway House in what looks to be a few steps -- and the reality is far, far, different.

Death March anyone?

I wish our walk had been that short.

And am I confused or were the KFC and the Wrecking Yard in Golfinger supposed to be in Kentucky? Movie magic.
