Sounds like a remake to The Spy Who Loved Me.

Does The Mirror have a rep for pious journalism?

Of all the lousy cuss titles...

Okay I've got that out of my system. Beyond The Sea? Honestly! Wasn't there an episode of The X-Files by the same name? Beyond The Sea sounds more like a paranormal film then a Bond title. Perhaps that's just inbred because of The X-Files.

Either way, that should never be a title of a Bond film.

yes to why wasn't my post submitted? i will scan and send a copy of the article to Dave Woodhouse (is that his name?) who wants to put it on the site.

Beneath the Sea?! I don't like it.

Isn't "Icebreaker" already the title of a Bond novel? Why not just use that? "Beneath the Sea" is total ****. So lame, I won't even see the film if it has that title. It would probably be another MGM disaster like "Rollerball."

I'd take "Beneath the Sea" with a very large pinch of salt(-water)!

So the new Bond girl is going to be Ariel? Cool! I can't wait to see Bond battle Ursela, only to discover that she is really a high-tech submarine, cloaked in hologram technology; and, as a true P&W twist, the blonde guy that Ariel's in love with turns out to be an evil megalomaniac, intent on having his cheif cook her crab friend (The first half of the film, we expect King Triton to be the villain, you see)!

BWAH HA HA HA HAAH!

"Under The Sea...duh dum dum duh dum..."

(I'm kidding, ofcourse) :)

well it does add up. The special weapon could be beneth the sea. I also remember hearing that the rumoured title Beneath the ice was not far off from the decided title. It's not a bad title. I like it.

We haven't really head much of the sea, other than PB surfing in on it...

However he was injured in a water scene! What could this have been? What is the involvement of water in the film?

Today Eon Productions announced the title of the newest James Bond epic, the twentieth film in the forty year history of the series, will be Beneath The Sea. Also in the press release sent out by Eon is a photograph of the new actress who will be joining Halle Berry and Rosamond Pike in becoming the latest Bond girls.

Yeah it does suck, like most of the other rumoured and suggested titles. Hopefully the REAL title will be cool and one that hasn't even been mentioned yet.

First of all, sorry for starting a thread on this when it was already done. I think mine's been deleted, that's good. I totally missed this, I think if I'd been a bit more sober I (well, Y'know).

I'm not that keen on Beneath The Sea either, I much, much prefer Beyond The Ice. Someone kinda suggested once that if enough people complained about the title they'd change it, is that right?
