MISSION THREE:

Story:

Agents, we are not displeased with your efforts to identify the locations of our secret bases. Your intelligence gathering and analysis completed both missions ahead of schedule.

Now, you will all work together to infiltrate our bases and demonstrate your code breaking ability. Future missions will again see you face off against each other.

The Mission:

1. Each team of agents at their secret base is faced with an identical log-in console. The SPECTRE log-in code is three lines of random dialog, cooincidentally, from James Bond films.

2. Each agent may post ONE letter guess; and may not post a second guess until ALL other agents have posted.

3. Each day, the "system" will update and reveal the locations of your letter guesses.

4. You are allowed a total of 10 incorrect guesses before the system shuts down and the mission fails.

5. Each agent making a correct letter guess will earn an assassination avoidance.

6. When you think you have enough letters to guess the entire code, you may do so. However, incorrect CODE guesses will earn an agent a CODE FAILURE point; and at the end of the mission, the agent with the most CODE FAILURES will recieve a visit from the Execution Branch, as well as the usual assassinations contained within KAOS and THRUSH.

7. The first agent to correctly guess the entire code will automatically be safe from assassination for mission 3.

8. Agent Mattbowyer is now a member of KAOS.

You have 96 hours to crack the code.

Max,

Hate to break it to you, but you've been eliminated during Mission One. Check the thread. :)

Is there ever going to be an actual group challenge?

I thought that's exactly what the first two challenges were. The group working together to solve locations, and now the puzzle.

I am, of course, open to any/all suggestions for future challenges, but do have some planned out for a while to run the game.

Keep in mind, people are in many time zones and online at their own pace.

I know the timezone is problem, but so far, in my view these have all be single challenges, at least, for my team, there has been no discussion on hwat anything could be, so for me, it is like this is a single challenge.

MISSION THREE: COMPLETED

A stab in the dark?????? More like a surgical strike with plenty of light! :) Excellent, Freemo, just excellent, and totally correct. Now, technically, all agents haven't reported in, and therefore a "double post" occured before the daily intel; but why delay things on a technicality when all but one letter was incorrect and we'd only have it guessed again. (I merely point this out in anticipation of someone else doing same).

All agents: Each KAOS agent, with the exception of Mattbowyer has successfully posted a correct answer.

All THRUSH Agents, except Xenobia's "S" and no letter guess from Astros, have posted correctly.

Therefore, due to the incredible speed in which this mission was resolved, all agents making at least 1 guess are safe from assassination.

THRUSH: Please PM the execution branch to execute Xenobia or Astros.

I am the only oen that thinks that it is insane, the the winning team is the team that has to vote off a member, not the losing team?

BOTH teams will lose a player. KAOS had Mattbowyer who will be eliminated without vote since he was the only one not to make a correct (or any) guess during Mission 3.

EACH Mission will always see BOTH teams lose one player until such time when the remaining teams blend and it becomes every agent for themself--leading to--The Survivor.

As for this Mission, I did not expect it to end within day 1 and all players, who guessed, on one team making the correct guesses.

As I have stated before, I am open to new ideas to make this more enjoyable for all. Hopefully, this will clear the confusion as to why it SEEMS only one team will be voting a player off.

I know why it happens, and I am not by all means saying you are doing a crap job, I don't think it mkaes sense to have challenges, if there is nothing in it for the winning team. Why not skip the challenges and just have the vote?

We need the challenges to make this a game.

That's why I think this game is more difficult to play online rather than the Mole.

I can see Astros point, as that's the reason I hadn't realised I'd been eliminated in the first place. We'd won the first challenge as I recall, so I'd assumed no one on our team had been eliminated.

I'm not complaining, mind you. You're doing a bang up job organising this all by yourself, and as I'm no longer part of this game my opinion doesn't matter much anyways.

Regardless, I had fun while I lasted. Good luck, THRUSH.
