Since writing my original "Silver Beast" article I've come across some very cool promotional artwork and pics, etc. from the 1981 Gardner/SAAB tie-in with LICENSE RENEWED. I've been putting some of these piece-meal into the article thread, but I thought instead I would put them all in one place. A very simple addendum to my original story, if you will.

Enjoy. :)

It certainly would. :)

Although I don't think I'd turn down any of Bond's cars.

There might be one in For Your Eyes Only I would, although we could classify it as Melina's. :)

You'd be crazy- imagine how much you sell it for! Although I did see one of the 2CVs at a show a couple of years back and maddeningly the guy had restored it to its proper state! He even had pictures of it smashed up before he put it back together again! To my mind, it is much more authentic in its damaged state. Ah well.

(Incidentally, I've just given the Saab a polish, and in the sunshine, the 'grey beast' looks fab!)

Just kidding around, any Bond car would be excellent.

I'd have left that car be, in my opinion.

Anything's possible, John. Don't forget Lotus sold off warehouses full of their historical cars, including two of the Bondmobiles, a year or two ago.

Boy, you know, I would love to own the original Silver Beast. I've never been one of those collectors who goes after original props, vehicals, etc., but this one I could see myself owning. Not being a "famous" movie prop, and not being a high end car like a Lotus, I think it could be resonable. I wonder who I would need to contact?
