I've not seen any of the props in person ever before, so this should be a memorable experience.
I love the idea of showing a Bond film at 8pm following the exhibit. I'm just trying to figure out which to see, The Spy Who Loved Me, The Living Daylights or GoldenEye. I'm leaning toward Daylights, but if I had it my way I'd see them all
Will let you know how it goes.

In the past the exhibition has been at:
- The National Museum of Photography, Film & Television in Bradford, UK
- The Science Museum in South Kensington, London
- The Henry Ford Museum in MI, USA
...who knows where it will end up next.

I hope it comes to New York.
Back in 1987 the Museum of Modern Art did a Bond retrospective and a number of props, but they could be continaed in two display cases.
This seems more like the amazing Star Wars Power of Myth exhibit that toured a few years ago.

I know for a fact my brother has "a fast car" I could borrow.
Hmmm. Might just have to do this. It is there all summer.
I wonder what Flicka's schedule is like?

Bryce, it wouldn't be a waste of time coming up to Vancouver, that's for sure It's beautiful here in summer, and if you've not been here before, you should have a great time taking in this city, Stanley Park, Science World (with its 360 degree Omnimax Theatre), and the International Jazz Festival, among other things.

Yes, I have a feeling some of the props won't nearly be as intriguing as seeing them used in the films (it'd help to have a TV monitor showing the prop as seen in the film), but all the same, if there were some more unusual items, it could be interesting. Mr Kil's hand, for instance (I always laugh at how Jinx flung it away) I know I'd like to see Wet Nellie and the Vanquish in person.

I seriously hope the exhibition comes closer to Los Angeles.

The big thing you need to keep in the back of your mind is how many people get to see these things up close in their lifetime? Seeing all the props that are getting auctioned off at Sotheby

"You forget...I took a 1st in Canadian languages at Cambridge."
I was born and raised in Seattle Dimitri. I get back a minimum of twice a year. I'm well familiar with the beauty Vancouver has to offer.
Who knows? You may end up checking out the exhibit with Flicka and I. We'll bring you a nice bottle of Vodka
I like the city.

All two of them? Lordie..."You forget...I took a 1st in Canadian languages at Cambridge."
You'd like it up here, 003. Lotsa pints and alcohol to keep you busy.
Anyway, as I got excited to notice an exhibition was coming to Canada, I was just as quicky shot down when I saw it's in Vancouver and Quebec.
Damn it all to hell...

Did I enjoy it? Of course I did. Took a weekend and a train on into Detroit just to see the exhibit. The only cars that were there were from DAD, but they had loads of props from all the other films. Some of the more neat ones they wouldn't let you take photos of. They start you off in M's office where you can even sit behind the desk and answer the red phone. There were little consoles set up that let you play a 007 trivia game controlled by your 007 credit card that you are given upon paid admission. The only thing that was rather disappointing was the shop afterwards.... not enough stuff in it!Very Cool! Did you enjoy the exhibit?

According to a local TV station, it's the first time the exhibit has been featured -as a whole- outside London, so it'd be fantastic if it went onto other cities in N. America.

If it makes it to L.A. I for sure want to be there. It looks like there are a lot more props this time around. As for them not letting you take pictures, I'm sure the L.A. film folks can come up with something.
