The Living Daylights is one of my favorite Bond title songs.....
although, it's likely because of Barry's excellent orchestration.....

any A-HA fans out there?

I'm a *huge* fan of A-ha and I'm only in my early 20s, but I noticed some questions some of you guys had about the band and I think I can help you answer them. I've learned all of this info from researching it on the 'Net. (Some of you who are die-hard fans like myself may already know this info, so I'm really sorry for repeating it.
)
Is there a drum player in A-ha?
This may come as a surprise to some of you, but both Paul and Mags are very gifted in the area of playing instruments and both of them can play a few different kinds. Did you know that Paul played *both* the guitar and the drums in "Take On Me" and that Mags also played the drums when he was in the band "Bridges" with Paul? Mags came from a very musical family. His dad, who died in a plane crash when Mags was just five years old, was in a band and Mags' grandpa was also a musician. His whole family just knew he had it in him, so they supported him in everything he did.
Did that awesome video for "Take On Me" win any awards?
That video is still an awesome video even by today's standards and I was surprised to read in a news article that they still use it as an example when mixing animation with live-action when making movies, commercials and TV shows. Back in 1985, A-ha won five MTV Moonmen at the MTV Video Music Awards for that video, and the video was also nominated for Best Video of the Year, but it lost.
To see the complete list of what they were nominated for and what they won in 1986, check out http://www.a-ha.us/timeline/1986.htm . Also, if you want to own this video on DVD format, you can buy it on a DVD called "Hits of the 80s" from Flashback Records at some discount stores such as Wal-Mart or K-Mart. It costs about $6. For more info, check out http://www.flashback...d_releases.html .
Did Morten, the lead singer of A-ha, ever date that girl who was in the video for "Take On Me"?
Yes he did, and what a lucky girl she was!
(Actually, I think any girl who could've gotten lucky enough to date Morten, Mags or Paul would be very lucky, IMO.
) The girl's name is Bunty Bailey and she's from England. From what I've heard it was just a short romance, but they did date. This was confirmed on an episode of VH-1's "Where Are They Now? Video Vixens."
I hope some of this info helps you and that you found it interesting to read.
If you want to read more, I suggest heading over to http://www.a-ha.com , the official A-ha website.
