If anyone is interested there will be an antique and collectible toys and dolls world show next Sunday, 25 April 2004 in the Chicago area. The Show will be held at the Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles, which is about 30 miles west of Chicago. The show will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Central Standard Time and there is an entrance fee of $6, but you get free parking!

Supposedly these shows are pretty nifty and offer many items of note...... I think I will attend this time, should be a fine time.........

I attended that show last November and am going again this weekend. There was plenty of Bond stuff there, both old and new. The Sideshow figures were well represented at reduced prices. A great portion of the show has a definite flea market aspect to it, so you can do some bargaining. Also be warned, that this is primarily an outdoor event, so if you're expecting the height of elegance, you need to look elsewhere.

All right.. I'm back from the toy show and I must saw it was great fun. There were toys from all eras, I could have easily spent about $5000 there. By way of James Bond merchandise, there really wasn't much to offer. Here is a list of the 007 items I noticed at the show......

(1)1966 Gilbert Aston Martin - Mint condition, no box $265
(2)1966 Gilbert Action Sets of the Dragon Tank & Hydrofoil and M's desk & Briefcase $75.00 each
(3)1966 Thunderball Philidelphia Gum Card Set $95.00
(4)1966 007 Philidelphia Gum Cards Singles $2.50 per card
(5)1979 Moonraker Space Shuttle Model Kit $20 (someone beat me to this one)
(6)1966 Gilbert Figures of Bond in Scuba Gear, M, Dr. No, Odd Job & Action Play Set #3 with Bond on the lazer table, all MOC or MIB. There were selling the whole set for $100 (I had to buy this one)
(7) Sideshow Toys Roger Moore LALD Doll MIB
(8) Bond & Barbie Gift set $50
(9) 1995 Corgi GoldenEye Astin Martin & Ferrari (originall the man said he'd sell them both to me for $40, but his wife stepped in and pushed the price up to $80 so I passed on buying them)
(10) 1960's Gilbert Man From U.N.C.L.E. Napoleon Solo and Ilya 12" Figures MIB $185.00 each
(11) Loose Gilbert 3" Action Figures - set of 7 figures for $20
(12) Another Carded Gilbert M Figure $25.00
(13) Original Moonraker Poster $90
(14) Original OHMSS Teaser Poster $300
(15) Original YOLT Poster $400

I had a great time, and made a few contacts that could prove to be profitable. The next show is in June, and I can't wait to go!
