My friend mentioned to me that in Star Trek, there is a spaceship named The Fleming. Is this true? and did it have any relationship to Ian Fleming?

Sorry, no relationship to Ian Lancaster Fleming the creator of James Bond. According the Star Trek Encyclopedia the Federaion medical transport U.S.S. Fleming NCC-20316 mentioned in "Force of Nature" Star Trek: The Next Generation was named for Sir Alexander Fleming the British bacteriologist who discovered penicillin.
