I agree Keely looks fantastic; it's a shame the folks in the press can't get it.

Quite right too. Brosnan is as entitled to a private family life as anyone else. And his family members are definitely entitled to their privacy.Dudes...I feel very sorry for the people who write these articles. In the land of Pierce Brosnan, you can write anything you want about him, he mostly won't care, and if he does care, he gets over it fast.
Write one negative word about his family, and you are his enemy for life, and he will come after you. For writing about his wife like this, they will be in BIG TROUBLE.

I don't mean any offense, but how can one say with such certainty how a complete stranger would react? I know you obviously like Pierce but to simply predict what he would say/do is ...well, somewhat premature.I'll put it this way...if he came home and found Keely crying over this, he will go nuts.

Who's to say Mr Brosnan wouldn't turn his back and keep on gazing lovingly at his wife, sans any care about what some tabloid has said about her?
But, I do commend him for his commitment; the man definitely has shown an awareness of the world (I was impressed to see his concerns about nuclear armament and his environmental activism on his website ) and a desire for improving Bond films. That's great to see and I'm happy for his professional and personal success.

He himself stated that in responce to a rumor that he was cheating on Keely, with a mysterious blonde (that turned out to be his daughter Charlotte, popping by for a visit), Pierce looked up the address of this man who wrote the article, got some dirt on the reporter, and was prepared to either release the dirt OR go after this guy.
Neither happened because the paper apologized, but Pierce said he is definately ready at any time to take on any reporter who goes after his family.

All the better to Brosnan then.He himself stated that in responce to a rumor that he was cheating on Keely, with a mysterious blonde (that turned out to be his daughter Charlotte, popping by for a visit), Pierce looked up the address of this man who wrote the article, got some dirt on the reporter, and was prepared to either release the dirt OR go after this guy.

I mean, sheesh, they'll think of any crap to get a news story and publicity.

Brosnan needs to exercise some leadership himself, and get his wife on a diet and exercise program. As a former fatboy myself, I can attest that one's behavior can be modified to come back to normal.

But perhaps Brosnan has a bit of a fetish for "the larger lady".Brosnan needs to exercise some leadership himself, and get his wife on a diet and exercise program.

Oh I agree with you. The US is absolutely the country with the most obese people. I mean it's not necessarily the amount of food that's being eaten... it's the quality of food. There's so much junk in this country (fast food, processed foods, etc).I hate to burst the bubble here folks, but let's quit defending obesity, and using childbirth as an excuse for fat women. I remember very well from the 60's that women would have babies and come right back to their weight. The problem is that we here in the U.S. like to eat, and we like to eat too much. The rest of the world is now adopting our habit, as Europeans are getting noticeably fatter now also. Talk about U.S. leadership in the world.

It is absolutely possible to get weight down after having a child. Though it is work, and needs a lot of attention. All overweight people though are not to blame... I mean there's genetics, sometimes you just can't get it off (but this is certainly not an excuse for everyone)
I'm sure Keely has tried. And I'm sure Pierce is quite supportive. But I know that he's also the type of guy to be supportive even if things aren't working out the way one would like. Keely is beautiful either way.

I think there's something wrong with this world. Has anyone seen the Dove deoderant adverts, "tested on real curves"? I think more companies should do that, to encourage stopping this rubbish.
My partner's a beautiful person. That's what counts.

Oh I know!!! I mean who are "they" to say that she's wrong for him. That's for him to decide and he loves her. Just because someone's famous doesn't mean that they can't be in love with a "less than perfect" person. Or just because someone is one of the best looking people around, who's right is it to say "what the hell is [s]he doing with him/her". People are so judgmental on other's behalf. They should keep their nose in their own business.I feel sorry for Keely, I've heard people say that she's "too fat FOR HIM" - just because he's famous?!!

They probably don't. It's just another attempt to get a news story. Why does anyone care what Mrs Pierce Brosnan looks like?

Sorry, it's just that this kind of totally empty celebrity "news" irritates me hugely. I loathe the current kerfuffle over Beckham's extracurricular wick-dipping. Who on earth cares? It's just another attempt to get a news story.

Well I guess Posh Spice cares, but I don't. And what's with Beckham defecting to Madrid? Treason, me thinks. Hey maybe the Beckhams have one of those Sting & Mrs. Sting type arrangments....I loathe the current kerfuffle over Beckham's extracurricular wick-dipping. Who on earth cares?...

My first reaction was "Pierce is not going to like this"; it just seemed so disrespectful to me. I mean, saying about her that she is too fat for him is an outrageous impudence. I know that I would be hurt if I were in Keely's position. I think she is a very beautiful woman. She did fill out a little in the time since the GE premiere, but IMO that only made her look better. That by now she has put on more weight than she is happy with must be hard for her (I know how she must feel from my own experience). That Pierce would only be supportive about this is no surprise; I bet that the two of them will be able to overcome this little weight problem. It's just sad that some journalists think they have to write such garbage.
