I've read the Star Magazine today and the article told about Pierce Brosnan's beautiful wife, Keely Shaye Smith, and how she has packed a few pounds ever since they met. The excessive weight has made Keely mad, due to the fact she gave birth to two children with Brosnan. She couldn't attend the Golden Globes because she couldn't find anything to wear. Despite Keely's own crestfallen appearance, Brosnan is more in love with Keely then he ever has. He reportedly gave her a diamond necklcae and a new BMW!

Ah, what a sweetheart! I mean, what a cool guy. Brosnan is a devoted husband and father, no matter what his wife looks like. I saw Keely on TV recently, and she looks gorgeous!

Your opinions? And I know Athena007 did a similar thread! I just want you guys to tell how Pierce is such a devoted man!

ah yes, the quicknews I put in about Pierce & Keely...

I admire Pierce for many many MANY reasons, which I won't get into here. But he is a great husband and father. He's seen life, the good the bad, and dealt with it quite well. And he knows himself and knows exactly what's important in his life. :) All I have to say is, great for Pierce. As much as I'm envy Keely... I adore the both of them very much and am so glad that they're happy together.

(I just hope that someday I

You're not a cheesepuff Athena. :)

I have not seen the changes noted in Smith, as I haven't seen her recently, but all stars to Pierce for being even more in love with her. She has no need to worry, when she is a part in such a good marriage.

Best wishes to both of them!

Cheesepuff (like, oh my gawd you're so cheesy!), Maybe it's a Valley Girl thing? or Cheesepuff = Dork :)

Well, Keely has defiantly gained some weight... pics of Keely ...she is quite pretty anyways. But you know, when you gaining weight defiantly puts it's toll on a woman (not wanting to go out and be seen), so I don't blame her for not being the most social of butterflies. But Pierce loves her :) that's all that matters.

Indeed, and she doesn't really look bad in those pictures anyways.

She's a little big, but there is nothing wrong with that. Better than some puny stick! Still though, she really isn't that bad, considering she's had two kids! :)

Eat healthy(diet soda is key!), excercise everyday...how hard can it be?

My sister lost around 35-40 pounds recently...I hadn't seen her since October when she was overweight because of her 2 recent kids...last week she looked like a model! Sculpted and healty...she looked like she could do a triatholon! She's 37 too so it's possible but it takes work.

Yea, I've noticed she's gained a lot of weight too. If you compare pics from the Goldeneye premiere to today, she's definitely bigger. Then again, that was 10 years ago and she's also had two kids.

Much respect to Pierce for being such a great guy and devoted family man.

Eat healthy(diet soda is key!)...

Actually, if you're talking HEALTH... soda at all is very BAD. Especially Diet soda. It has artificial sweeteners in it which are part of the MSG family (MSG kills brain cells by tricking your brain into thinking that something tastes one way when it doesn't).

You'll be surprised to see how many pound one drops when they stop drinking soda, eating pizza, eating ANY fast food, and eating processed foods (ya I know that's impossible for some people, those evil grocery stores). All natural is the way to go.

I lost about 20lbs pretty quickly (in a month I believe) way back a long time ago... by eating (and yes, I way healthy while doing this, though I calculated it for my personal BMI, this might not be so healthy for everyone) - I took too many nutrition classes...
Breakfast: small bowl of cottage cheese with a peach OR a bowl of cherries
Lunch: Peanut butter and Jelly Sandwich
Dinner: Hardcore Soups and Stews (most of the time), once a week a nice plate of food with chicken or steak with mashed potatoes and veggies.

2 years ago and dropped 30 lbs in 3 months...I stopped regular coke/DP, which was a vice for me...I haven't had a regular soda in two years and my weight has remained steady...depending on how often I excercise I will drop 10 or 15...the winter here was really bad so I gained some from lack of activity but that's natural...Diet soda is probably not a good idea but certainly better than regular...every 12 oz coke is 140 cals-now imagine those 44 oz big gulps! :)

She's holding up quite well, and her buxom chest isn't exactly a bad fringe benefit. Now, if she was as big as Kirstie Alley, that would call for drastic measures(liposuction, & quick!).

She's still a very attractive lady. She hasn't gained THAT much, it shouldn't be that hard for her to drop it.

Eat healthy(diet soda is key!), excercise everyday...how hard can it be?

I don't know what I'd do without diet soda. I lost about 30-40 pounds by switching to diet and not eating chips, fries, and most fast food, and doing a few push-ups every day. It's scary looking at pictures from a year ago. :)

And according to this, all the health fears around artificial sweeteners are unfounded.

Dudes...I feel very sorry for the people who write these articles. In the land of Pierce Brosnan, you can write anything you want about him, he mostly won't care, and if he does care, he gets over it fast.

Write one negative word about his family, and you are his enemy for life, and he will come after you. For writing about his wife like this, they will be in BIG TROUBLE.

Yes, I noticed she put on weight, no I don't think it is fifty pounds worth. I also think there are better things for a tabloid to be writing about right now. I, for one, am waiting for the story of the tearful and heartfelt reunion between Tom and Nicole. (And yes folks, you gotta see this one coming!)

I respect and admire Pierce too, for many reasons, not the least of which is, how much he loves his family. I just feel very sorry for those who would attack them.

What, does he break into the tabloid writers' homes at night to beat their kneecaps in for calling his wife a porker? :)

Hahhahahahahah.

Actually on E! I saw an ep of "celebrities uncensored' (or whatever it was called), and they showed from the perspective of two paparazzi inside a car watching Pierce. He comes over and says "What are you two doing here?" and they exchange for a little bit, then Pierce pretends to be friendly, offers to shake their hand and then whacks the camera away. He he. Bond in action!

I seem to recall during TND, when someone photographed him and Charlotte (his daughter)together, and then wrote an article stating that Pierce was cheating with a mysterious blonde, he lost it. He was threatening to go to the guy's house and have a chat with him. :)

He doesn't look through the papers for stuff about him and his family, but TRUST ME, I am sure he knows someone is writing about his wife's looks, and if it is upsetting her, it will upset him. A lot.

I'm sure there are defiantly situations where things are written or photographed that get his goat. I mean hell, I've been in the tabloids and it's irked me to high hell. BUT... at the same time it's like, oh brother, I'm so above this - why deal with something that's just so lame. I mean someone

Wow! Keely looks amazing! She shouldn't be ashamed of her weight! I'm a little overweight, but I'm mostly big bone.

I agree with Tarl Cabot that you should exersise and eat healthy! I'm doing that now, recently. I jog for a 30 minutes, ride by bike sometimes and eating a 6 inch Cold Cut Trio from Subway.

This isn't nessary, but I'm making a point.
