I don't know how many of you are gun nuts or anything like that, but what types of firearms do you want to see Bond and the bad guys using in Bond 20?

Here's what I want to see:

Walther P99 (as usual)
FN P90 (as in TWINE)
H&K G36
Steyr AUG
SiG 550-series
H&K UMP
H&K USP
H&K SOCOM .45
Steyr MPI-81
Micro Uzi
Cobray M-11

I'd love to see a return of the FN P-90 however I think as it's a very different looking weapon it will seem recycled to the average person. I think it's become synonymous with Renard as a lot of the promo's featured him with it.

Well, it wouldn't be terribly different from the other films. In a lot of the earliest Bond films, the bad guys always seemed to use Smith & Wesson revolvers and MP40 submachine guns. In some of the 1980s' films, Kalashnikovs were used a lot (and in Goldeneye in 1995). Nothing wrong with that...

ok, thanks. You sound like a bit of a gun-expert, i know a little bit, but no-way as much as you sound like. Would you be able to keep me informed of any new "Renard Guns" in production?

Instead of guns how about Bond has a conker fight with Gustav Graves, whoever wins gets to keep the ice palace. :)

Renard used a Belgian-made submachine gun called an FN P90, as I noted in my list. Very cool weapon.

If you'd like to buy a replica, Tokyo Mauri makes an airsoft version of the gun. I've shot one of these airsofts - it's very realistic, almost like the real thing.

Try this link to buy one:

Mike Frost's MFI is a good place to buy airsofts at bargain prices.

I'd also love to see the return of the FN P90, I think that Zao is obviously a very stylish guy (look at his taste in cars), so such a stylish/cool gun would be right up his alley. Anyone aggree?

Do you know of anywhere cheaper to get the FN P90 ($450 is a bit above my budget.) Im not really bothered about if it fires, just as long as it looks the part.

Just while we are on the topic...
Does anyone know what the name of the machine gun is that Renard has in the underground scenes in TWINE? I really really want to buy a replica, to go with my P99.

I'm afraid not. The FN P90 is a very rare and exotic weapon, and furthermore, the TM airsoft is quite new (it came out around summer-2001), which means that the price is still going to be pretty high. Maybe in the near future, though, they'll manufacture a spring-powered single-action version of the gun, rather than the fully automatic electric version currently available. Single-shot versions usually cost a lot less, around $100 or so.
