In some cases....in regards to his childhood, his marriage to Tracy....that's all great stuff.
But then we here his mother was a Witch, he loves kids, other nonsense, and I just shake my head at that.
It's definately worth the read, and I am curious to see how much from Pearson CH borrows for his new series.

I started reading it way back when I was just getting into reading Bond bigtime, but when I was only a few chapters into it, NOBODY LIVES FOREVER came out and I couldn't wait to start reading the "new Gardner" so I put it down... And I never picked it back up. I know, I know, I need to read it. I remembering liking what I read. I have time now. It

It's a good read, but it's not a great read. If you can borrow the book, read it. If you can get it off of Ebay for less than seven bucks, buy it.
Otherwise...wait to borrow it from someone.

Pearson was actually quite clever, intertwining Fleming's life with Bond's and I think this was his way of giving his friend Fleming the life he really wanted. I don't wish to spoil the book for anyone who hasn't read it, but there are plenty of comparisons to be drawn between the two. I suggest reading both in succession and you'll see what I mean.

I find it.... surprising.
For people who say somtimes it is non sense, don't forget it is not the Fleming Bond, but the REAL Bond. A real spy who is surprised by the way Fleming described him.
I consider this book as a collection of short stories. And an interesting way of filling holes Fleming let in James Bond life.

The more Bond fans that read "JAMES BOND The Authorised Biography" (especially the earlier chapters), the more pressure that may be put on Whos-he-what-it (and IFP?) to get it right for Young James Bond.....
Maybe.....
Perhaps.....

.......I do not like how Pearson kept the names M........ and Mollony as real people in the secret service......... since that is well known to be false.
.....When this book came out........ did it ever create any confusion with people thinking that James Bond might ACTUALLY BE real?? It seems like it could......
