Currently four of you believe you are The Mole.

The remaining six of you : Tanger, bond111, Brix Bond, trs007, SnakeEyes and qwerty.

Congratulations on surviving last weeks massacre, and making it to challenge 007.

Also congratulations must go to The Mole, who has so far limited the team to 31,000 points - still shy of the 50,000 they need.

But on top of that he is the only one of the original four Mole's left. Round one saw four player's believing they were The Mole and after ours' proved his worth, the other three were dethroned. Now they have also been eliminated and can be revealed as PacoScaramanga, Fraternal and brendan007. That week Brendan took the news like a true gentleman, Fraternal never mentioned it again and Paco told me he hated me. Such is life.

But the five genuine contestants no longer have any excuses. All the original suspects are gone : The Mole remains.

CHALLENGE SEVEN

There has been a murder on the CBn forums, and solving it is this week's challenge. Welcome to Mole Cluedo.

The Suspects
bond111
Tanger
Brix Bond
trs007
qwerty
SnakeEyes

The Weapons
Walther PPK
Throwing Knife
Dentonite
Poison Tipped Shoe
Piton Gun
Steel Rimmed Bowler Hat

CBn Forum Games Forum

This will run along the same lines as the board game. The murderer and his weapon are in hiding at the scene of the crime - you have to find out who it is, with what and where. To assist you, each of you will be sent two or three suspects/weapons/locations.

The correct identity of the murderer, his weapon and the scene of the crime will not be sent to any of you and it is up to you as a team to find out which three these are. This will require team work, compiling the ones you have been sent to find the missing three.

Once you think you know who it is, with what and where you may put forth an accusation containing this information in this thread and you will be informed whether it is correct or not. As in the board game each of you can make ONE accusation. That is six in total. If it is correct the team will receive 10,000 points. If it is incorrect, you will not be able to make another accusation, it will need to be done by another player. Each incorrect accusation will take 1,000 points off the target - eg if you get it right on the third time you will only receive 8,000 points.

Simple team work should get you there easily, and The Mole will have to be careful not to expose himself. That might be easier than you think.

Whoever makes the correct accusation gains an exemption from this weeks Mole Quiz.

Best of luck,

mb

Wow, this actually sounds like great fun!

One of us will have their licence to kill revoked when they are discovered (a good agent leaves no trace...)

Murder 'weapon' piton gun?!

Grow up 007!

Oh it was just something he said the other day about The Mole.

"It's like Clue(do). Only with Moles. And no big house. And the lack of those dinky little murder weapons".

We don't have 'dinky' weapons around here, but we are a big happily family in a big house even if its full of rodents.

Right, first off, accusations have to be approved by two team members who didn't make the original accusation. This is now a rule to prevent interference via the Mole.

I'm not sure how you all want to play this but let us all agree on one strategy? Should we all present our clues in the thread and make our deliberations on them?

Remember that the Mole will probably post fake clues to throw us off the trail. Hence the two person rule I have now implimented.

I think all clues should be done in this thread to avoid lies.

Well I wasn't confident that airing our clues over the boards was a good idea so I had hoped to compile my own personal list for reference. Elementary.

And beware. It's very possible for the Mole to lie about the clues he has been given which is why we are having this two person vote. Or should we increase it to a majority vote to be safe?

Whatever the group decides is fine with me, besides, the next hurdle is "who gets to make the accusation?' For, if it is correct, someone wants an exemption.

Meanwhile, the resolution of the clues.

Either way, doesn't make much difference if it's here or in PM's. A vote sounds alright to me.

That might change things here. :)

Hey again,

Sorry I've been away at my parents place for a week. Looks like a fair bit has happened!

Hey, if you all want to send your cards to me I could be an objective assistant in all this. Please don't bite my head off, you can say no, i'm just trying to help.

Brix, I tried sending you my Clues but it says you are disabled from using Private Messenger. Have you been a naughty boy? Or did the challenge just get made harder?

First I get my clues last and then by the time I get them Brix is disabled from PM'ing. That's not nice!!

Although it sounds crazy, I do like this idea. I think BRix was a bit too quick to request PM's from everyone and considering the climate, we need to keep this in the open. We know dolce is not a player and therefore cannot be the mole.

My vote.

Well, then, we are in a no-win situation:

a) we don't trust outsiders

:) we don't trust each other to openly share clues

c) we don't trust each other to privately share clues

How do we expect to band together to have an accusation made? Seems like the mole has already claimed this round.

What could that possibly achieve? The Mole probably knows anyway.

Lets do this in public. PMs are a dangerious land.

Remember: if we all send our clues to Brix he has an almost 100% chance of making a correct acusation...

Sorry but he isn't getting the exemption that easy.

A fair point, so send them to me. If I get the exemption I promise to give it back.

Don't be stupid: Let you get the exemption and sell it to the 'highest bidder'?

Just as bad.

Go mind some pots and pans and stick to your frocks and gossip and wait for Mole: 3 before you poke your beak in this game to far :)

Interesting the way human behaviour affects the task at hand.

Basic psychology is among my sub-routines :) .

Good tip - decide on something soon - there's not much time left in the world.
