[SPECTRE ASSASSIN]

In my opinion, I will probably will pick Xenia, played by Famke Janssen, with Lucianna Paluzzi as Fiona a close second. Whose your fav?

Lucianna Paluzzi is my favorite, as I really don't count Miranda Frost as a real femme fatale.

Otherwise my vote would go to Miranda.

Miranda Frost is most definitely a femme fatale IMO, and a good one. But my pick for best is the outrageous, delicious Xenia Onatopp, so wonderfully portrayed by Famke Janssen.

I suppose she can be called a femme fatale, but to me, she's on a different level than the likes of Xenia, Fiona, Fatima, Naomi etc.

That's why I chose Fiona Vople instead, but all the femme fatales are excellent.

Anything with Fiona is intense, her dancing and any exchange of words with Bond is always A-class.

While I absolutely love Xenia, I just think Fiona is a better femme fatale, but they're equal in they're portraya; of their characters.

After the poll was added, and I looked at the list, I decided to vote for Sophie as Electra. Famke's Xenia is still my fave bond villainess, but Sophie's Elektra is the sexiest to me.

Fiona Volpe. No hesitation about it. Not only the sexiest femme fatale but one of the 3 or 4 most beautiful women in the entire series. She's the best looking of Sean Connery's Bond girls IMHO and the one that he had the best on-screen chemistry with.

While Xenia and Fatima both were excellent, I find it very hard to select which one is better, as they both get extreme pleasure from their jobs, making their performances all the more better.

Well, for me, at the moment, they're tied, no problem taking an already used character idea and changing them around slightly, which is what Xenia can resemble. Both score very highly, as do pretty much all the femme fatales of the Bond films, something they seem to always do well at.

While she was a hot redhead, her performance lacked a bit when compared to Fiona Volpe, which she was a carbon copy of, therefore I think, it harmed the popularity of her character.

I like her too. But Fiona's the best. If TPTB ever do a poll for the most underrated Bond villainess, Helga would get my vote for sure.

Probably true. However, I remember the first time I saw YOLT. It was only my 3rd Bond film(LALD and DAF being the first 2), and when she seemed to relent and fall for Bond in the Ning Po cabin scene, I had thought Helga would be like Solitaire and switch from bad to good. I was shocked after the commercial break when she doublecrossed Bond and left him to die in the sabotaged plane. And then later, as SPECTRE_ASSASSIN pointed out, she had arguably the most memorable death of any Bond girl(alongside Jill Masterson's). This might have been more predictable if I had seen more Bond films prior to YOLT but both Helga's and later Aki's deaths surprised me greatly the first time I saw it.

Hurray! I'm glad someone finally voted for Helga! Now, someone needs to vote for the delectable Naomi immortalized by the gorgeous first lady of '70s British sci-fi cinema, Caroline Munro.

P.S. to PaulZ108, since you like Helga/Karin Dor, I would recommend Alfred Hitchcock's 1969 Cold War spy drama Topaz to you. In it, a brunette Miss Dor gives a very touching performance as Juanita.
