My brother's friends are from Dallas, Texas and are inspiring rap stars. I heard they're demo. It's tight. They're E and Zane.
I don't know about you, but I like R&B too.

Anywho...I do enjoy most of Eminem's work - Stan, and that song from 8 Mile (even if it did beat U2 at the Oscars.)
Also, do the Beastie Boys count as hip hop? Cause they were always good for a listen!

Yeah! "Licensce to Ill" and "Paul's Boutique" were rap albums by the Beasties. They haven't gone that route in years but they were definitely "Rhymin' and Stealin'" on Def Jam Records, Tapes and CDs.Also, do the Beastie Boys count as hip hop? Cause they were always good for a listen!
DanMan, when you've the time, the old-heads have to sit you down and play some of the classic Rap hits of the 80s and 90s. The stuff that's out there today is too glossy and not lyrically challenging.
That being said, I'm partial to Nas' "Made You Look."

And I agree, the 80's and 90's rap is far more engaging than the current stuff. Especially a lot of the sounds coming out of LA in '92, prior too, and after, the riots.

Damn, is Sam Goody still around. The chain went under here in NYC.It's underground so don't expect to go to a Sam Goody and buy it. Either find the DJ and buy a copy or check Kazaa, BitTorrent or some other file sharing application.

There prices were too darn high anyway.

That monster by Eminem from 8 Mile is very cool and inspirational. Outstanding.
Rap isn't Sensualist's sort of thing, frankly. Hard to relate to most, if not all, of it. Classical, Classic Rock, Alternative, Techo/Dance/Trance/House and some pop is more like it.

Twangy country does'nt do it either. Can't relate to the hick-town, hoe-down red neckers, really...
