Harry Knowles of AICN can be a bit over zealous with his praise and since he's a pal of Tarantino I had my reasons for taking his review with a grain of salt...but he's also pals with Robert Rodriguez, an Austin Native too, and he did not give Once upon a time in Mexico a charity endorsement, infact he ripped on it during his KBV1 review. Anyway, here it is:

I can't wait for KILL Bill Volume 2! :)

Anyone else excited? I ranked Kill Bill Volume 1 as my #3 film of 2003:

Return of the King
Master and Commander
Kill Bill volume 1
Swimming Pool
So Close

*I haven't seen City of God yet.

I'm a huge Tarantino film and have tried to see every film that his name is attached to and after liking the first one, I'll definitely be catching Volume II.

Same here. VOLUME 1 is superb, and I can't wait to buy it on DVD.

VOLUME 2 and THE BOURNE SUPREMACY - those two'll sort me out for this year. :)

I'd rather see Bourne, Jason Bourne than that other spy...status quo of course! :)

I saw The Bourne Identity at the weekend but it didn't really make me want to see the sequel. If anything, it made me want to read the book.

The 2002 film is very different from the book. The miniseries(1988) is much more faithful to the book...I liked both and I accepted the 2002 film as a loosely based on the book adaptation, like a Roger Moore Bond...The book is not really transferable to the screen in a 2/3 hr film format anyway... :)

Just been checking on Amazon and it seems that the novel trilogy are regarded as excellent thrillers. I'll have a quick skim through Supremacy when I'm at college tomorrow (that's the only one they've got) and then decide whether to buy the 3-in-1 volume. That reminds me to get the new Gardner one aswell.

I read TBI and about 150 pages of TBS and stopped due to some distracting things...the books are good.

Having felt financially cheated by the geeky, over-rated, has-been wierdo, Sensualist shall pass.

The only reason the other viewing occured was because it was the choice of the evening for Kathy (o...what a yummy creature she was) and Sensualist wanted to pave the way for the rest of that weekend... :)

Btw, who is this Harry Knowles? And what is AINC? And why ought Sensualist be remotely interested in what said individual/organization has to say?

You Jest, surely? :) Like him or loath him, Harry Knowles is the webmaster of what is now the planet's most (in)famous movie website.

To be perfecly honest, Admiral, Sensualist only frequents this website and two others that are financially-related movie sites.

Sensualist's other visitations revolve around Formula One Grand Prix racing and US College Football. That's about it, old friend.

It's called Aint-it-cool-news and that's the first movie site I ever frequented/discovered. I registered as Tarl_Cabot there in 2001, even though I knew of CBn I didn't join the forums till last May. The lack of Bond topics, poor technology and bad manners of the AICN community led me to do my fulltime Bond/movie discussions here... :)

What a trooper! :)

Why is Sensualist referring to himself in the third person like an annoying twit? :)

To be fair, though, it's a site that only people who are into films are likely to know of. Sensualist may not be a film geek - he may just be a Bond geek.
