Once and for all to save on PM costs.

You are looking for a puppy. There is no metaphor here. You are not the 'puppies'.

It's interesting to see who found them and who didn't.

The feign of difficulty on some people's posts.

The charade, the facade, the lies, the pretend nature of it all, I do enjoy it!

Some people think they know. Others know they know. What do you know?

Oh and dolce? Read my signature. James Bond knows just what to make of you medeling types... :)

CHALLENGE CLOSED

Results soon, Bruce was hidden in Q-Zar's elimination screen at the bottom of this page of the last challenge :

http://debrief.comma...ic=14539&st=180

The successful hunters can explain how they tracked him down for now, as this Mole Moderator has to put together an IKEA dressing table before he goes out tonight.

* Stretches out, takes a step back, swings and kicks himself in the head *

The first thing I did was watch all your posts starting March 9th to see if he was in one of those. I should've checked for modifications of older posts :)
Why do I feel so stupid right now ? -_-

Well, my co-workers had a laugh at my expense and love saying I'm out of the game now :)

And I would've gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for those meddling kids with their puppy !

All the clues were there. The Woof (search for it) then the obviousness of edited posts leading to a pawprint and finally to the little puppy itself.

Though I guess it always seems easy when you know how.

The initial number of puppies was a total lie. There was only Bruce, but if we had all found him...well many Bruces add up :)

Now we must sit and wait. Not much espionage has taken place, yet, but here's hoping the 2nd half has some more fun and chances for the mole to play his games :)

CHALLENGE THREE RESULTS

Alright the points tally stands as follows. Three puppies found by trs007, bond111 and SnakeEyes for 1,000 points apiece and an extra 2,000 points from terminus bring this week's total score to 5,000 out of an eventual possible 23,000. Has The Mole been at work, or have most of you not been? And did any of you cheat and conspire with your fellow players?

These are all questions to be answered later, for now - the rest of the challenge. Labelled as the stupidest challenge ever by many of you, it was indeed designed to be so in its irrelevence in the end. A hunt for Steve and Gladys' lost puppies, complete with (and inspired by) a dumb doodle I did during Econometrics 1010 and a picture of our lovely couple from uglypeople.com. It was very hard to find that puppy, though it got easier and equally nutty as WOOF!!! and GRRR!!! statements were added to posts in the thread that hid Bruce, along with his ever growing footprints on the green elimination screens of the other contestants.

It was a team working paradox - to work together to succeed whilst not at all working together - to eventually test the loyalty of a small group of players : to themselves or to the team.

So trs007, SnakeEyes, terminus and bond111 now have a decision to make. For the measly 5,000 points they have collectively earned this week they can instead all gain exemption from this weeks Mole Quiz - a free pass into the next round. The cost, of course, is the 5,000 points they have earned. Each will now vote here in this thread and will need a 3-1 or greater majority to gain the exemptions. The Mole tells me to pass on his recommendation, which I strongly agree with, to vote "YES".

Other players' opinions are of course welcome. You have 24 hours to vote.

"The Mole tells me to pass on his recommendation, which I strongly agree with, to vote "YES"."

Well, the mole would love another 5,000 points in the drain.

So I vote NO (however, this isn't final, I could be swayed. My final vote will be marked final. Should I fail to make another vote, then this is obviously to be counted).

I have a feeling I can make all the rounds anyway...

To play devils advocate, I'm going with YES

Why ? Because I don't think the winner who is statistically more likely to come from the other fifteen contestants than to come from us four. It gives us a better chance to become statistically more likely to win.

And to think y'all thought I was just a dumb broad.

Lol

Or am I playing you all ? Mmmmmmm

Still, I vote YES

I believe you should be keeping the points at this point in time. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. We now actually have to start REALLY playing the game although I accept that this was somewhat of a stupid challenge with no clear start point. It was also unfair as some of us have real life to be getting on with and to be sitting sifting through endless search results for many possible clue combinations required too much time for those of us who did not have it to spare. However, enough excuses, but let us hope that we get a more traditional challenge next.

We require the maximum amount of points and have already lost so many at such an early stage. 5000 may not sound like much at this juncture but it will more than likely be vital in the end.

But if you decide to save yourselves then fine, although you may only be delaying your inevitable elimination with great expense to the whole team. Realistically a lot of us won't be here when the final rounds arrive so asj yourself what is more valuable: Yourself with the statistical probability that you will be eliminated, or the 5000 points securing a win and one captured and shamed mole?

I think we should keep the points, as we don't have many yet.

If you guys have a trooper it sure is Qwerty, he was finding dogs I had no idea about..

Found it, it's in Q-Zar's post in the Random Thread of Randomness thread.

http://debrief.comma...pic=14166&st=30

There's a link to the thread

Am I right?

Is it this one then? The dalmation posted in that thread.

http://debrief.comma...pic=14166&st=90

I could swear he found every dog on this site, except Bruce.

I think we should get some points for the team for that, after all they are dogs.

I was trying to find some points for the team in this challenge.

So far we're 50/50 on the decision.

I tentatively say no and terminus says yes.

All down to Bond111 and TRS (I suspect they may want to die another challenege and go for excemption.) Who knows; maybe i'll change my mind too.
