I couldn't; it was mandatory, like all school-related events.Sorry to hear that.I attended a mandatory Senior Awards Ceremony tonight, and didn't get a single award.
Damn, I hate those guys!
I would have just skipped the event and blamed my absence on terrible traffic, family, or a previous engagement that ran long. But that's just me. Because I'm a jerk.
Well, you know, that's why I'm glad that I'm going off to college in the fall...Maybe if you wern't such a band geek you would have got some!I attended a mandatory Senior Awards Ceremony tonight, and didn't get a single award.
Damn, I hate those guys!
I kid.

Sorry for the big text but I just can't help myself!
Twenty minutes ago I finished the second draft of my book and I've just sent four query letters off to literary agents. No responses yet (understandably, all but one are in New York and NYC is on my time zone, i.e. it's nearly midnight; if they worked now I would thwap them with a newspaper and tell them to go relax or sleep). BUT STILL. Four queries out. I still have a list of several more potential agents, but I'm sending four-at-a-time to keep myself from getting overzealous. Here's to hoping someone picks me up by the end of summer

Best car commercial ever! And no, it's not the one where the zombie pops up at the end.

Was it like the Aston roll in CR?At 11:06 this morning I watched a golf cart fly off a manure pile, strike the edge of a bench, continue soaring while doing a barrel roll-ish thing over three cars, and crash/land perfectly fine on its front wheels on the sidewalk. The janitor driving the car stayed inside the entire time. I have no idea if it was deliberate or what, but it was pretty awesome. Made my lunch period, that's for sure.

Still fascinating to watch.

Still fascinating to watch.
Basically, but a little slower, way less awesome, and far less destructive.

Dear Nick,
Thank you for your recent e-mail and for reading my blog, I appreciate it. I regret to say that I don’t feel that I’m the most appropriate agent for your work.
However, opinions vary considerably in this business, and I wish you the best of luck in your search for representation.
Best wishes,
Nathan
So it was a rejection. As I feared. Oh well, just have to keep on plucking. Wait for answers from the other three before I send out to anyone else.

Dont get upset, its not a major disaster.
Theres nothing on tonight, he said, I dont know
Whats the matter!
Nothings ever on, she said, so ... I dont know
Why you bother.
Weve heard this little scene, weve heard it many times.
People fighting over little things and wasting precious time.
They might be better off ... I think ... the way it seems to me.
Making up their own shows, which might be better than t.v.
Judys in the bedroom, inventing situations.
Bob is on the street today, scouting up locations.
Theyve enlisted all their family.
Theyve enlisted all their friends.
It helped saved their relationship,
And made it work again ...
Their show gets real high ratings, they think they have a hit.
There might even be a spinoff, but theyre not sure bout that.
If they ever watch t.v. again, itd be too soon for them.
Bob never yells about the picture now, hes having
Too much fun.
Judys in the bedroom, inventing situations,
Bob is on the street today, scouting up locations.
Theyve enlisted all their family.
Theyve enlisted all their friends.
It helped save their relationship,
And made it work again ...
So think about this little scene; apply it to you life.
If your work isnt what you love, then something isnt right.
Just look at bob and judy; theyre happy as can be,
Inventing situations, putting them on t.v.
Judys in the bedroom, inventing situations.
Bob is on the street today, scouting up locations.
Theyve enlisting all their family.
Theyve enlisted all their friends.
It helped save the relationship,
And made it work again ...

Really? What's it doing on the Sci-Fi channel?!?! I mean, I could understand AMC, but not Sci-Fi!For those of you interested, Tomorrow Never Dies is on the Sci-fi channel now. Pretty early into the film, actually.

I've no idea, but I've been enjoying it. Certainly not my favorite Bond film, but not a bad way to spend a Thursday night at home.
