I'm sorry but it's true. It wasn't too hard growing up as first I lived in France, where it's not such an issue, and then I also used to lie and say it was a contraction of Samantha. Sometimes I still do, if I'm going to meet new people and am not sure what kind of reaction I'll get. To be honest, I've grown into it now. My last name is Spanish and it goes OK with that too. I say I've grown into it but I do get bored with any Xmas jokes about it, as I've said, heard them all before. I also make a point of never, ever wearing red.

Josep comes from the name of the street my house is on (was on, just sold it). The street name is Sant Josep (pronounced 'hosep'), so I just mixed it with my name.
