I cried watching The Dirty Dozen.

May I ask what brought on the tears in The Dirty Dozen?

I got a little teary eyed at the end of Braveheart and during parts of Forrest Gump... that's about all I can think of right now.... did not cry in Schindler's List or Titanic, altough like someone mentioned above, I can be really moved by the actual event.... Touched by Shawshank Redemption, but don't recall shedding a tear..... Can this be all??

Okay, I really don't like to talk about myself on the internet, but this topic is drawing me out.

When I was a kid [maybe 8 yrs. old] I saw this movie called "The Bobo". It was a comedy starring Peter Sellers. Britt Eklund was in the movie also.

Anyhow something funny happens and Peter Sellers is dressed up as a matador, but is all painted blue. Anyhow, he's standing there looking at Britt Eklund and declares his love for her. He of course gets rejected. I thought this was sad, so I started crying. My parents were laughing during this event, as was the rest of the audience. When they noticed I was crying they asked why. So I told them I felt sorry for the Bobo. This sent them into hysterics. Then I really got pissed off!

It has scarred me for life, and now I am a very mean person.

P.S. And also a womanizer.

It is interesting. I watched the film again today and indeed, for a film that's a comedy with stars known for comedy(Peter Sellers and Britt Ekland), the ending is very wistful and melancolic. A much different experience than one of Sellers' Blake Edwards films.

I guess I'll get this off my chest.

Bicentenial Man made me cry.

It was that "That won't do..." at Little Miss's funeral.

That, and if you didn't cry at Mufasa's death in the Lion King you're just dead inside.

The Disney movie Eight Below made me cry. Anyone who has seen that movie probably knows why. It hit me really hard because I have a Siberain Husky who I really love.

Braveheart .

'nuff said. The piece of heather given to young William at his father's burial nails me everytime.

I will say that both OHMSS and CR get me as well.

Vesper's death scene rips me in two. Like Bond, I just don't do helpless.

Granted, Tracy was circumstance, Vesper was choice (her's). Still, it's a blow.

and, from my youth...

"Bambi" - The off screen gunshot. "Mama?"

Yeah, Disney knows how to cut you to the bone.

Bambi is one of the most violent movies ever! I'm suprised it didn't get a 'R' rating!

I don't recall many films that I've cried during, however I do remember being quite tearful during the end of Cast Away. I had just broken up with my girlfriend at the time as well.

Eternal Sunshine made me tear up a few times throughout.

No, but as I get older I can feel that it won't be too long before I do. Any movie that has a wedding scene or a triumphant reunion of some kind makes the water start to build up in the eyes, these days, unless it's overly cheesy.

Probably the closest I've come is during the last 20 minutes of The Notebook, which is pretty emotional.

I remember crying over the "Oh captain, my captain" closing scene of The Dead Poets Society, when I first watched it, as a child.

THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS is one that immediately comes to mind, followed by FORREST GUMP. Two of my favourite movies as a result.

Braveheart .

Hmmm, being from Scotland I thought the film may have had more of an effect on me. It doesn't though and I really don't feel anything whilst watching it. Sometimes a quiver of patriotism but thats only if it's before a Scotland football game and me and some mates have decided to watch it before heading out.

I've been moved by a few films, but not many have made me cry since I got older. The Lion King used to make me cry when Mufasa died that's all I can really remember.

I never used to cry in movies, but man, has that changed. Hmm...let's see:

Rocky (and II, and Balboa)
Return of The King (The Rohirrim's charge into the battle has NEVER failed to bring tears to my eyes...and the hobbit's goodbyes are always heartbreaking)
The Two Towers
Fellowship Of The Ring
Gladiator
Shadowlands (Good Lord, I've never, EVER cried harder in my life at a movie)
Lady In The Water (Say what you want )
Signs
The Passion of The Christ (Especially when he picks up the cross again after collapsing near his mother...and the resurrection)

and to my undying shame...

Yes, I shed a tear or two at the end of Revenge of the Sith. <hangs head>

I cry just at the thought of ever watching another film starring Mel Gibson, Kevin Costner, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sly Stallone, Jean Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal or Tom Cruise.

Don't think I've ever cried over a movie, but a few have left me with a lump in the throat and damp-eyed. The only two that I recall the titles of are Bicentenial Man (when shown on tv) and the only one that affected me at the cinema Silent Running (had to delay my exit - great closing song). Seems strange that the ones that affected me most were about non-humans, does that say something about me?
